The building on Clayton Rd at Bailey Rd in Concord is officially gone. Like gone gone. Coming soon, Concord’s 154th Starbucks.

I think we have more Starbucks in Concord than taquerias. Maybe the Chamber of Commerce can do a “Starbucks Trail” in Concord.. you can trek through Concord and see the 154th Starbucks Location! Do you like drinking ”coffee” that tastes like it is strained through a teenager’s gym bag with a hint of burned popcorn carcinogen flavor.
There will also be a miniature Starbucks inside the new Olive Garden they are opening inside the old K-Mart Building. They are currently in Italy picking out marble for the counters.
Are you sure it’s only 154?
Would you like sugar with your cup of bitter coffee? Or sugary syrup? Or whip cream? Ive been in concord for majority of my life and am embarrassed by how many starbucks shops Concord has. They populate like bunny rabbits. Every month a new starbucks is being built. Its ridiculous. How much is too much Concord? Why not mom n pop coffee shops or at least more Peet’s?
ia this a race between Concord and Walnut Creek with how many Starbucks we have?
Is that 154 hyperbole?
A lot of money for a predatory corporation… seems like a gamble. Reminds me of the old Food and Liquor, if there was a 7-11 or circle K they would have to build within sight. I do not buy coffee other than ground ($2.00 per 14 cup pot) so no difference to me other than a spectator sport and I don’t invest in them so it will interesting to see.
Why does the city of Concord keep approving new Starbucks?🤦🏻♀️ There is one less than a mile away on Clayton Rd. and yet they couldn’t help themselves. They had to build another one simply because the other coffee place across the street is there.
What is the appeal? It’s not even coffee. It’s pure sugar!!! All I ever see people with is tons of whipped cream, syrups, caramel, sugar, etc. It’s hardly coffee. Teenagers buy it and then we wonder why they’re all screwed up. Kids don’t need coffee. They need milk or water!
This whole parking lot is a dump. Always some homeless weirdos around, tons of seagulls, and it’s a dead shopping center.
I wish TJMaxx would move into the old Kmart. Much nicer.
