Yes. At this age, I rather enjoy watching sports in the comfort of my home. It is cheaper; no rowdy crowd and I can always switch to watching something else. And unlimited food and alcohol.
Plus you won”t have to walk 10 minutes and wait in line to pee!

Ticket prices are ridiculous. These events rely on disposable income, number of persons in that position have decreased. Until a better example comes along, is good example of supply and demand. . As ticket sales decrease, ticket prices need to be reduced to a price point people are comfortable with.

Yep. Ticket prices are outrageous, parking is what $30 or $40 now, a beer is $11 or $12 food prices are just astronomical.
It involves a long drive and shuffling thru the crowd, so no way.
If I stay home I have a great view of every play, food & beverages are a lot cheaper.
I’ll just watch the game at home with family & friends and be a lot happier.

Good question. Is it getting too expensive. It has been for a long time. Is it worth it? If you can afford it, yes. It’s very enjoyable. If you can’t afford it, that’s up to you. There are always free concerts and watching sports at home or a sports bar. We do all of the above. Life is good!

No, I do not think they are getting too expensive, they are too expensive, and have
been for quite some time. Some people may be star struck, and are fascinated and
impressed by famous people, and want to brag to their friends that they saw so-and-so.
If they want to add more debt on their credit cards by paying ridiculously high prices
and contribute to the wealth of athletes, celebrities, and promoters, that’s their business.
In my opinion their fans are being exploited by the famous people they idolize.

Nobody is being forced buy high price tickets / parking. Don’t bother me at all prices high, kinda surprised me people get so bent up on being there in person for sporting events.

After factoring in gas, bridge, parking, seats, and concessions for say a regular season niner game your looking at 500 -700 easy for 2 people. I can’t justify it any more. Spoiled(not all) millionaire athletes/performers.i will not contribute any longer.

Yes. The concerts are at huge venues- if you go to a concert you see it on a monitor. Might as well watch it on TV. Sporting events are at the same venues. Someone is getting too much of our money.

It depends on how much you want to be there and see something live. Before my Raiders moved to Vegas I went to games at the Coliseum on tickets that cost around 80 bucks and spent about the same on food and beer. BART was the cheapest thing of the whole day.
It’s got to be exponentially more pricey now.
The Coliseum had a lot of nerve even charging that much to use the flooded men’s room and then only to watch the Raiders lose.
It was disappointing enough to watch them do that on TV for free.
Now they’re in a brand new stadium & they still keep losing…. but at least the fans have a clean & dry place to pee.
Lol…it was never easy being a Raider fan. But we were loyal. Vegas though, nah, I ‘m done.

Sure its expensive. But that’s a free market and they can/should charge what the market will bear. The better question is : Will the people buying overpriced tickets and astronomical prices for food/beverages at these venues be the same people 20, 30 years from now crying that their Social Security check isn’t enough? People can spend what they want where they want, but I don’t want to hear any crying later after they’ve squandered their money away.
