CBS News- “The acting FBI supervisor of the Public Corruption Squad in the Minneapolis field office, Tracee Mergen, resigned last week in part over the investigation of the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer earlier this month, according to multiple sources.
Mergen left the FBI “in part due to the pressure on her to reclassify/discontinue the (Good) investigation,” a source with knowledge of her departure told CBS News.”
Sounds like this FBI supervisor is a person of integrity that won’t go along with the political games she was ordered to do.
CBS has a very long history of making up anonymous sources, and they’re still Rather biased.
Yep, CBS and all the rest of the left wing propaganda so called news sites have zero credibility at this point. They have proven over and over reporting the full story is not part of their agenda, if it does not fit their narrative.
Your comment has absolutely nothing to do with article.
You are on the wrong chat thread.
Or maybe she just wants to go along with the blue team’s political game.
There are still a lot of lefty / progressive agents infesting the FBI.
If Mergen decided resigning was the best thing for her to do, it probably was.
I notice she gave no statement.
The FBI needs to be non partisan.
There is no room for anymore Peter Strzok, Lisa Page or James Comey types there.
doh,
.
What’re the rest of the reasons why she left the agency?
Man shows up at protest in Minneapolis with a gun, shot and killed.
FAFO. Bring a gun with a permit to carry to confront/protest ICE/DHS ain’t too bright.
I feel for his family as he lost his life …. But seriously where did he think it would end up going? You brought a gun to where you were challenging Federal officers! By all videos, you made your way (aggressively?) towards the officers with your hands in the air. You seemed aggressive, though you might have only been trying to help.
Protestors! You have the right to protest! But you cannot come at (challenging and impeding and obstructing) an officer performing a job. Whether you agree or disagree, you will lose in the street. Take your chances in court, that is the only place you have a chance.
The politicians in these states, counties and cities need to stop inciting violence! They are leading people through their words and actions to violence, and death. They need to stop telling their constituents to challenge Federal officers. If the Federal government decides to arrest them for inciting a riot/insurrection (and it ma be right to do so), it will only get worse because of the stupid politicians in other states who will jump up and down to wave their little political feathers.
Minneapolis news station KARE video shows ICE remove gun before he was shot. At 1.25 shows the beginning of the interaction between Pretti and ICE agents. At 2.10 shows an agent removing Pretti’s gun from the back of his pants before he was shot.

His links never work.
Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
Its funny how that keeps happening.
Second Amendment allows protestors to be armed. The guy never drew the gun or threatened officers with it.
ICE has also said that recording their operations is against the law. Recording law enforcement is 100% protected by the 1A.
I approve of ICE’s objectives. But I’m not willing to chip away at our constitutional rights for it. There are other ways to deport illegals and ICE isn’t trained for large scale crowd control.
Each civilian killed will only make it harder to achieve these objectives. Are they intentionally being set up to fail?
yoyohop,
.
You’re correct!!! So many self-proclaimed “Constitutionalists” were willing to give up OUR Fourth and Fifth Amendment Rights last week and OUR First and Second Amendment Rights this week because of their support for ICE and Border Patrol. Individuals can easily support the missions of ICE and Border Patrol without surrendering OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS on a silver platter. These people are begging the government to further restrict and eliminate OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS!!! Americans support for engaging in OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS shouldn’t be situational support, but it should be a constant unwavering support.
Appears our knuckle-headed governor after getting the boot from the WEF went and got cozy with the WHO and handed over the state to them. We have to stop this madman before he totally destroys California on his way to destroy the US. Note that Trump stopped US membership in the Stalin-like run WHO.
Is almost sad to see a person so desperate for attention making snap decisions
that end up backfiring on him. ZERO SYMPATHY
Seems loony leftist anti ICE dweebs have tip networks listing where off duty
ICE Agents hang out so they can be swarmed. Small problem, seems
multiple false tips, spins up the low intellects and they’ve been descending

Have you folks given more than just a glance at the PG&E notice of the
~new/but not new~ “Base Services Charge” coming next month?
Oooooh goody — they’re lowering the electric rates!
“Californians not only pay some of the highest electricity rates in the country, but they pay two-to-three-times more for power than it costs to provide, according to … researchers at the Energy Institute at Haas ” in 2021. (Rates have gone up more since then.)
PG&E, under heavy political fire for charging customers THREE times as much as the rest of the Nation’s average rates– has, along with its lap-dog, oops…I mean watch-dog, CPUC, devised a way to camouflage a “break-even” income for themselves, while admitting that the folks who wear three layers to stay warm in the winter and live with a spray bottle of water to stay cool in the summer, attempting to use the least electricity may (likely) will not see any savings at all !!!
When PG&E separates the BSC fees out of rates and (LMAO) lowers the kWh rate — the “new/not new” fee of $24.60 per meter per month… keeps PG&E for profit machine ‘whole’.
KICKER: PG&E has 5,500,000 metered customers ( x $24.60 = $135,300,000.00 per month) OMG! PER MONTH!
I tried to find out if what we’ve paid (for how many years?) to have our fugly wires under-grounded will ever be refunded or used to actually ‘under-ground’ the fugly wires… AND maybe find out how much they make renting pole space to the cable/wi-fi/fiber companies who have exponentially added more fugly wires. ~ But, ya know?
Concord…laying new sewer lines repairing the trenches. Months later CCWD tearing out that new repairs and laying new water lines along the same path. Months later Concord digging same streets out to replace (new and improved) ADA curbs. Weeks later, Concord digging out and resurfacing the SAME streets again.
Did any of them coordinate work, to save the citizens a buck or two? 🙂 🙂 🙂
How hard would it have been to coordinate the city and PG&E to have laid cable in/under the same road scar.
As I’ve mentioned here before, I grew up in Washington state that has a lot of hydroelectric power especially eastern Washington. When I was probably in the second grade Eisenhower came through the highway down the middle of our small town on the way to inaugurate McNary dam on the Columbia River and when I was in high school JFK inaugurated Ice Harbor dam on the Snake River about 16 miles from where I lived. Today the electrical rate in my hometown is about 1/3 of what it is in California. This state is plagued by unrealistic ideologues.
Two of the few who actually cared about their Nation and the citizens! Having served their time in the trenches and waves of war gave them an appreciation of home that few leaders walking the ground in the last 65 years can claim.
Ask Cowellian what his electric rates are…under the TVA, who regulates rates, and doesn’t allow the Electric Distributor companies to squeeze the life’s blood and sweat out of customers just so big investors from around the globe can make a profit from it.

Before retiring did controls and motor did upgrades.
Part of my planning process was to check with mechanical side,
“level 2” computer geeks, asking what upgrades they would
like to see in next five – seven years. Doing so allowed adding
proper sized conduits and cable trays for future expansion during
current project. Saved money and made life easier for all.
.
Example of a “fail” was asked to install electrical box housing
for an RFID tag reader. Months later additional hardware install was
requested. Had to install a second enclosure. Turns out complete
scope of project was known from the get go but wasn’t related to
me. Installed second enclosure. Had all ideas been related would
have saved time and company money.
.
Too bad the individual “kingdoms” can’t coordinate roadway
subsurface installs. Suggestion, each time same stretch of road
is torn up post to social media and alert media, websites and
embarrass the street destroyers.
Just in: All insurrectionists are required to be tested for distemper and rabies.

I wish libs where as good at working as they are at protesting. It seems work is a four letter word to them, and they are offended.

In an opening statement, Jack Smith said it was his decision to bring charges against Trump, “but the basis for those charges rests entirely with President Trump and his actions,” adding that his team “developed proof beyond a reasonable double” that the president broke the law during his first term by withholding classified documents and obstructing efforts to recover them.
“But for Mr. Trump’s election and imminent return to the presidency, the office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial.”
Of course he said that. Hopefully, his lies will get him thrown in prison.
And the lies that you repeat here will get you ridiculed.
You really don’t have to read further than “Jack Smith said”.
’nuff said.

Jack Smith was free to say what he wanted to say at his Congressional hearing, but it doesn’t make what he said factual, it only made what he said his opinion.

Trump has already used the tariff money and your federal tax dollars to bail out the U.S.farmers he personally put into bankruptcy because of his tariffs.
There is no money left to give out “4 figure tax refunds.”
Peter,
.
Farming and ranching are heavily leveraged industries. Farmers and ranchers aren’t going into bankruptcy over one year of losses, but several years of losses. Why did farm and ranch bankruptcies increase by more than 50% in 2024? Why did President Biden, “personally put farmers into bankruptcy” in 2024? When farm and ranch bankruptcies increased in the first quarter of 2025, do you really believe that President Trump’s first 70-1/2 days in office caused these bankruptcy filings versus President Biden’s 366 days in office in 2024? If you actually believe that then you’re showing all of us that you know absolutely nothing about the farming and ranching industries and the costs and commodity market related stresses associated with farming and ranching. Are those bankruptcy filings Chapter 7 or Chapter 12 bankruptcies? There’s a huge difference between the two. How much did the Corona virus pandemic bailout for farmers and ranchers delay and skew bankruptcy filings in 2021, 2022, and 2023? How many of these bankruptcies are dairy farm/ranch bankruptcies and what role has the decades long decline in milk consumption played in these bankruptcy filings?
Peter,
The US operates at a huge deficit. It has for many, many years. It will continue to operate at a huge deficit for the foreseeable future.
There is no money left for anything.
We currently have a maxxed out credit card with almost $37 TRILLION owed. Future social security payments, federal pensions, and medicare costs currently estimated at $150-$200+ TRILLION. These are mandatory, future obligations that we will need to pay going forward.
The US is broke and the only thing keeping us afloat is that we can always print more $ and borrow more by issuing Treasuries. This creates inflation and a dollar that loses purchasing power.
Eventually those $Trillions need to be repaid. What will happen when foreign buyers stop owning Treasuries because of our screwed up finances?
Final thought: Nice non response to TBK’s reply to your ridiculous bomb throwing. Back up your BS when thoughtfully challenged or continue to be considered a non-thinking lefty sheep.

Except that the U.S. Constitution sets the qualifications for federal office, not the states. Remember what happened when states set rules to disqualify former President Trump from appearing on the 2024 ballot, and why state propositions setting term limits for members of Congress was overturned. This bill could still pass and remain on the books in Tennessee, but federal law would preempt this state law.
Well… so far nobody knows what Ilhan Omar was sprayed with (from what looks like a plastic squeeze bottle) by a wild eyed guy who was at her Town Hall meeting tonight.
Witnesses said it “smelled terrible” tho.
Anyway, I’m going to guess it was some “Sow in Heat” extract… really, hog hunters use it to attract big boars and I can’t think of anything more insulting and disgusting to squirt on a person of her faith…. remember, it’s just a guess.
Not sure who extracts that stuff from pigs or how they do it but yuck!
