The Clayton Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project resumed this week with additional paving work. The contractor will pave the remaining four lanes on Clayton Road between Matheson Road and Washington Boulevard, along with Denkinger Road between Clayton Road and Wilson Lane. All remaining paving will occur during daytime hours: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for eastbound traffic and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for westbound traffic. Lane closures will be in effect during paving operations; however, at least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Once paving is complete, striping and signage work will begin. Construction on Clayton Road is expected to be completed by mid-February.
Making a big difference…. when will it be done on Clayton Rd from YVR to Ayers?
Yeah we know it has been backing up commute traffic with very little progress for awhile now. The streets remain unstriped and you now have drivers treating turn only lanes into their private lanes and cutting other drivers off as they rush over at the last second. I am in construction and wonder why the work is being done during peak commute hours!?! I figure it must have been the cheapest contract the city could find…why couldn’t they have started this project during the summer like most outdoor projects are!?! Whatever, just looks more like window dressing instead of actual improvements.
street feels great! please keep this up, feels like taxes well spent.
A main artery of concord is being repair/ renewed, of course it will be a disruption to some, temporarily,
As Rip Wheeler once said
” why don’t you say thank you, and shut the …. up
At least the construction slows the Nascar drivers down.
