The following statement is from Congressman Mark DeSaulnier:
“We cannot stand by as Americans are executed in our streets in broad daylight by ICE. ICE must be immediately removed from Minnesota and those responsible for this killing must be investigated by an independent authority and held responsible. And when the ICE funding bill comes to the Senate Floor next week, every senator should vote NO on giving this out of control, violent agency another penny.”
WHENEVER A POLITICIAN ON EITHER SIDE ISSUES A STATEMENT THAT WE POST, WE’LL FACT CHECK IT WITH ChatGPT. Here’s what they say about DeSaulnier’s statement: The phrase “executed in our streets in broad daylight” is a political characterization, not a legal or neutral description of what’s been established. There is no formal legal conclusion that ICE is “out of control” in a judicial or regulatory sense. Calling the agency “violent and out of control” is a political statement reflecting concern and outrage, rather than an established legal fact.
Simpleminded Mark DeSaulnier is either uninformed and doesn’t understand
the truth, or he is intentionally lying in an attempt to deceive and indoctrinate
the naive and the ignorant.
We are in the 2026 election cycle. Mark’s rant reflects a Democrat party hack doing his part to help shift public scrutiny away from Minnesota’s multi-billion dollar Somali day care and social services scandals.

this guy is as low T as it gets
Does the congressman support endangering of U.S. citizens and
inflammatory rhetoric used by democrat politicians ? ? ?
Take a look in the mirror congressman . . . . .
.
Does the congressman want convicted pedophiles, kidnappers and
other convicted felons and gang members endangering CHILDREN
free to walk OUR streets ? ? ? ?
.
An what about illegals driving 178 wheelers who when tested on OUR
highways can’t comprehend road signs and can’t speak English, who
were given commercial drivers licenses by California’s DMV ?
.
We realize years of open borders under democrat administrations
was a blatant attempt to gain control of U.S. House of Representatives,
the U.S. Senate and skew 2030 Census.
178wheelers18 wheelers
This horses ass is frigging nuts.
Hey Mort, What have you called it when illegal aliens have murdered innocent citizens, like Laken Riley? Nothing! You and your fellow democrat fiends have completely ignored the wrath created by the monsters that entered the country because of your wide open border policy.
Keep fanning the flames of Civil War and you just might get it.
Keep stoking the flames stupid so more people get hurt. what an a$$
just like this jacka$$ https://www.breitbart.com/crime/2026/01/25/obama-urge-more-protests-blames-trump-after-minneapolis-shooting/
deported more than Cheetos with the same person, but of course we didn’t complain then.
Obama was able to deport more people with less money being used and less drama.
I would like to see the numbers on that.
Less drama!?! That dude has had glowing reports even if he’s dropping a deuce! He was subjectively much worse than Biden depending on if you are talking about the absolute monstrosity called Obama care or the invasion that we are currently dealing with thanks to Biden and the former border Czar.
Lovelace ~~~ BINGO!, … SO TRUE!!
Slurp slurp!
ROZ,
.
The conditions aren’t the same.
Lovelace,
.
President Obama “deported more people” because he “returned” recent arrivals at the border, meaning within 100 miles of a land or water border, most of whom were apprehended at the actual U.S.-Mexico border, who didn’t go through a formal deportation process, and he had limited interior deportation enforcement, while also not prioritizing individuals who arrived in the U.S. as minors and those without a criminal record.
.
In 2025, fewer than a quarter million individuals were apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border, the lowest number in almost 6 decades, which means that President Trump has had far fewer individuals to “return” at the border without a formal deportation process. President Trump has also prioritized both interior and border enforcement, as well as those with and without criminal records. The Trump Administration has also had 2 million returns under what they define as “self-deportations” by paying illegal aliens to return to their home countries with the ability to apply for and be considered for legal entry into the United States.
.
The conditions aren’t the same, so it’s not so easy to actually compare “deportations” under President Trump with “deportations” under President Obama, unless one does what you did and just looks at pure numbers without any context.
@lovelace
Obama’s predecessor didn’t have an open border, and he didn’t fly in a bunch of illegals and drop them off all over the United States in the middle of the night. Tom Homan had it easy under Obama compared to Trump; and if people would let Homan do his job, you know, the job over three-quarters of Americans voted for, then there probably wouldn’t be all this drama.
Of course there was less drama under Obama.
He could do whatever he wanted to and Democrats wouldn’t dare complain.
Guy goes strapped to a violent street protest and resists arrest fighting with 4 cops… Anybody check with mensa to see if they’re missing a member?
No? All accounted for?……yeah, I thought so.
I thought you were able 2nd amendment guy.
This guy’s gun was taken then he was executed.
The lack of conscience on cause and effect mystifys me here. Responsible gun owners know when to have a gun and when not to. I am very curious what he was thinking of how the day would turn out when he chose to arm himself and proceed into a volatile situation. This isn’t a fight that came to him to defend from he went to it, self righteous and stupid. Executed is not proper at all, more like suicide by cop. Dumb hill to die on.
Angry American,
.
You’re only giving anti-firearm individuals, groups, and politicians more ammunition to pass more laws to ban firearms in more places.
.
Since this shooting took place we’ve had Democrats yelling Second Amendment Rights at protests and Republicans yelling NO Second Amendment Rights at protests. This dichotomy should not only scare everyone, but it should be telling everyone all they need to know about future infringement of Second Amendment Rights.
you do realize this is the point. They want this chaos. If we “not me” allow people to use guns for violence then it will be “GUNS BAD!” and they will have more ammunition to get rid of 2A and if the protests keep claiming it is their 1A right to lay hands on the others then we can get rid of it as well. This is the long game, very calculated and we all lose.
I am 2A all the way but I know what not to do, part of the digression of owning guns, we deescalate not provoke
Angry American,
.
The anti-gun individuals, groups, and politicians already use the “GUNS BAD” argument every chance they get. It’s why “gun deaths” used to refer to “murders,” but the term was changed to “gun violence” so that they could include suicides to raise the death count numbers. It’s the same reason “global cooling” became “global warming,” which became “climate change.” It’s change the wording and definitions to get what you want.
.
People are free to claim whatever they want, but nowhere does the First Amendment say one person can put their hands on another person.
.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI Director Kash Patel have made their hypocritical positions clear on the Second Amendment when they stated, “You can’t bring a gun to a protest.” They’ve made their true anti-gun positions and motivations very clear.
.
Using your example, to forgo OUR Second Amendment Rights, depending on what the situation is, means we should forgo our other Constitutional Rights, too. It’s saying that we should forgo OUR First Amendment Rights because it makes others angry or uncomfortable, whether they be other citizens or agents of the government. It’s saying we should give up OUR Fourth Amendment Rights and identity to sworn law enforcement agency personnel upon demand, and not when they have, “Reasonable Articulable Suspicion of a Crime,” when arrested, or booked, but simply because they want to identify a citizen. It’s saying we should give up OUR Fifth Amendment Rights and answer the questions asked by law enforcement agency personnel because it’s what they want and would be easier for them. When you compromise on one of OUR Rights, you compromise all of OUR Rights.
So he brought a gun to a protest with the intent of hugging an ICE officer? If anybody was pointing a gun at you what exactly are you are going to do to save your life? These people putting their lives at risk for people that could give a rat about them is peak idiocy but hey that would be their choice right?
a different view on our upstanding citizen “nurse” so stupid.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15507833/Alex-Prett-video-new-angle-ICE.html
this is why people get hurt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGBZqGWXPeM
Bringing a gun to a riot was stupid enough, fighting with the police would have cost him his CCW permit and his freedom (had he lived).
Whether the police were right or wrong is beside the point, Mr. Pretti died of his own stupidity.
Yes, I’m pro 2nd Amendment, but having firearms in the USA is a right for Law Abiding American Citizens Only.
I wouldn’t get too upset with this guy. He just regurgitates talking points the Confederates give him.
The oath you swore to “uphold, defend and protect” the constitution, maybe you should read it
Barstoolateds,
.
Why? Congressman Mark DeSaulnier’s interpretation of the Constitution isn’t the same as your interpretation of the Constitution. The much bigger problem is that 99% of the individuals who’ve taken an oath to the Constitution have never read it and the Court decisions that have defined it.
Just like Walz said, modern day holocaust
You really trying to compare a genocide like the Jews being rounded up and murdered to idiots dancing in the street and larping like their revolutionaries? GTFO!!!
Rcp,
.
Yes, because 2 deaths in Minneapolis is equal to almost 12 million deaths in Europe, right?
“F” Mark!
Clayton1,
.
You only have Republicans to blame for Congressman Mark DeSaulnier being in office today, as it was Republican voters who elected Republican Mark DeSaulnier to the Concord City Council in 1991, Republican Governor Pete Wilson appointing him to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in 1994, and Republican voters reelecting him to that position in 1994 and 1998, before he switched parties at the urging of Congressman George Miller III in the year 2000, so that he could continue being reelected and seek higher office. He spent more than the first quarter of his political career as a Republican.
Yes but it isn’t the republicans keeping him in office is it!?! We have the people and big money keeping this waste in office.
bddp,
.
That’s right, as soon as he switched parties the Republicans quit voting for him and the Democrats began voting for him, but it was still the Republicans who got him into office in the first place.
Yeah but who is voting him in now!?! How he got in is irrelevant.
the same vacuous simps who voted for now Senator pencil neck, you know, the congenital liar…kind of frightening how this state votes, if you stop to think about it. kamme, guv gavvy, babs lee, boxer, swallowswell…
bddp,
.
How Congressm Mark DeSaulnier got into office isn’t irrelevant, it’s the entire reason he’s still in office today. He switched parties and became a Democrat to make his reelections easier and to seek higher office.
Just another short-sighted, narrow-minded politician who has come to a conclusion on what happened before a completed investigation.
ChuckStir,
.
You mean Congressman Mark DeSaulnier is doing the same as Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and Border Patrol “Commander-at-large” Greg Bovino.
Yea, I guess so.
Am guessing ChatGPT hasn’t been taught how to recognize
and call out inflammatory rhetoric.
Mark can’t even fix some damn pot holes in his area. He is useless puppet of his comie party. All he is good for is standing out in front of a rest home with a sign. looking for a photo opportunity.
Executions? LOL!
Mark, please focus on this state to make things better for all of us living here. Quite being a puppet of your party. All you said is get ICE out of Minnesota and defund them. I haven’t seen any statements from you (aka your party) about the number of life long criminals illegally in this country being deported to keep us safe. Maybe those will come out today? LOL. Nothing from you ever about how your helping us live better lives in this state. I know, Trump bad.
WC—Creeker,
.
I’ve repeatedly heard Congressman Mark DeSaulnier say that illegal aliens, he uses the term “undocumented,” commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans. He never addresses that our crime rates are still higher because illegal aliens are still committing crimes and shouldn’t be here in the first place.
What idiot placed the tilte on this article that identified the agent involved shooting as “executions”? That is some pretty identifiable bias before all the facts are report.
Another dimwitted statement by our dimwitted representative. I would hardly call this latest event an “execution.” The criminal protester was clearly scrapping with at least 3 federal officers. Why? I do not know, but I would think letting them go after the illegal aliens like they are and not interfering would lend itself to not being in a situation like this. Clear case of living a fantasy, thinking he was all that and more, only to find out that these officers are not playing. If they think their life is at risk, they will react as such. So, this was not an execution. luigi executed the CEO for UHC. Perhaps Mark will be able to address why these “executions” are happening in one particular city. ICE is clearing out illegals (as they are supposed to be) in many metropolitan areas, but seem to only have problems in one or 2 (leftist) cities. Why is that? Mark, do you know? Or is it you cannot get camera time, o ryou’ll be in trouble with hakeem or MSNBC if you do not tow the (democrat) party line/narrative?
Why even post what this idiotic blowhard says? I don’t read anything concerning him or what he’s doing, and I haven’t read this one. Nobody cares what he says anymore. He is a wasted seat in Congress, and does NOTHING of value.
You all should run against him.
MDUSD Teacher,
.
Actually, you need to run to split the vote.
I love the Constitution; I dislike politicians.
THIS GUY IS A COMPLETE JOKE!!!!!
