Back in 2020 16-year-old Antonio Mays Jr. was killed inside Seattle’s
6 block radius CHOP – CHAZ zone established during george floyd
riots. Armed demonstrators providing “security” for the zone, pumped
roughly 100 rifle rounds into a vehicle.
.
According to article Police were ordered to abandon East Precinct and
city placed cement barriers around seized “zone”, “…effectively ceding
control to anarchists.” Lawsuit maintained city “…enabled unchecked
violence and delayed life-saving aid to Mays Jr.”
.
Question was if a city’ allows “anarchists” to take control of part of a
city, can city be held liable for what happens ? ? ? ?
.
Liberal people running Seattle by their action, abandonment of their
Obligations, in ceding control of a portion of the city to “anarchists”,
because it met democrat’ goals during time of george floyd riots.
.
“… 12-person jury awarded the family roughly $30 million in damages.
Jurors found the City “negligent” and that its negligence was a
“proximate cause of the death of Antonio Mays Jr.” “
https://tinyurl.com/ycx67cea
Personally I believe a $30 million jury award will NOT in any way
reduce number of intentionally caused riots in democrat controlled cities.
Reason,
for democrat machine, their goals, are to be achieved, BY ANY MEANS
.
.
Some background,
Trump was President during 2017 – 2020 Riots, were
common place, anytime find a DEAD black FELON
could be found and raised to level of martyrdom.
.
biden was President during 2021- 2025, NO Riots
.
Trump again President 2025-2026 again, Riots in cities
controlled by democrats.
.
Seeing a pattern yet ? ? ? ?

Then the police that apprehended him should have done their job right. Or maybe they had lost people due to ruthless tactics from a healthcare company who must make moneybforntheir investors?

Good call. The most he will end up is life in prison.

4
34

Paul, what would you be saying if he’d brutally murdered one of your loved ones?
Can you actually watch the video of Mangione sneaking up from behind and shooting Thompson multiple times and NOT calling it “murder through use of a firearm” or “a crime of violence” ?
What gears are stripped in the brains (?) of Lefties that makes their thought processes so pretzelled up?

33
11

Screwball judge is right. If anyone deserved the death penalty, it’s that coward Mangione.

24
10

Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
The state case against Luigi Mangione is scheduled to take place before the federal case, which may really make the federal case unnecessary. The state case also has no death penalty.
.
You shouldn’t just be placing blame on the judge in this case for her decision, but you should also place blame on Congress for not writing a more clear and broad stalking law. Congress has existed for 239 years and they’re still unable or unwilling to write clear laws without loopholes and open to different interpretations.
.
The Department of Justice still has the option of appealing the decision of this judge.
.
A conviction by a jury in these cases will likely be difficult enough without the death penalty. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear of some jurors engaging in jury nullification.
.
If Luigi Mangione were to be convicted and put on death row, the carrying out of the death penalty by the federal government is extremely rare. Three individuals were put to death in the first 2-years of the first term of President George W. Bush and thirteen were put to death in the last 6-months of President Donald Trump’s first term. Prior to the carrying out of the death penalty in these cases was the one individual put to death in 1963, during the term of President John F. Kennedy, but a death penalty moratorium was in place for a number of the years between 1963 – 2001. President Biden commuted the death sentences to life in prison for 37 of the 40 individuals on federal death row a month prior to leaving office.

16
2

OK, go ahead and blame Congress too, but the fact remains that the judge is focusing on minutia and technicalities instead of just simply interpreting the laws against “murder through use of a firearm” or “a crime of violence” to mean exactly that, and don’t try to tell me she could not do just that.
Even one of Mangione’s attorneys called it an “incredible decision” and he is right.
The definition of incredible: “So implausible as to elicit disbelief; unbelievable.”
I believe the judge is simply twisting the law to avoid a death sentence for the Left’s new folk hero.

10
9

Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
The judge is “focusing on minutia and technicalities” because of the way that Congress wrote the law. Again, Congress had and has the opportunity to write the law without loopholes and in a clear and concise way so that it’s not open to different interpretations. You may be correct, the judge could very well be using her possible anti-death penalty stance to interpret the law, but Congress gave her that opportunity by the way they wrote the law to begin with. Even if an appeal allows this case to end up being death penalty eligible, it’ll still be a more than uphill battle to get a New York City jury to come up with a death penalty verdict.
.
The definition of “incredible” also includes “extremely good, great, extraordinary.”

8
1

Again…. “OK, go ahead and blame Congress too”

that will want the cred for giving him a dirt nap.

Peter is right. The judge simply follow the Supreme Court decision. And if you, Dr.j, read her opinion she is actually agree with you by saying that “[n]o one could seriously question” whether Mangione is accused of violent criminal conduct.

This is hilarious and something previous would have nrver put up with. No matter where you go there is Survailence. Sorry but there is no “rest” anymore, this is not political unless you want to comment about those running this police state that pass laws that they know to be unconstitutional.

You can’t go ten feet outside your house without being on someone’s surveillance camera. Does that make us safer? It’s so easy to create “fakes” and will become easier and the “fakes” will get better. Does this make our society better? “Big Brother” is here and I for one don’t like it.

Don’t drive much any more, but do wonder fate of California gasoline

Amazon paid $75 million to make and promote Melania. Melania get $28 million of that. How is this anything but a bribe? The reviews are brutal.
Is anyone here going to see it?

12
32

If the reviews are brutal, it must be fantastic.

33
8

Who cares?

14
13

doh,
.
Melania Trump was a private citizen during the filming of the documentary “Melania,” which was filmed over the first 20 days of January 2025. She remains a private citizen to this day who donates her time to the country as the wife of the president. If you don’t like it, then you should put pressure on Congress to make the position of First Lady a paid position, although Congess could never force a First Lady to take the paid position, while accepting the paid position could put some laws and rules in place about outside earnings.
.
Why you would think this would be a bribe?
.
Was it a bribe when Jill Biden’s books “Student Retention at the Community College: Meeting Students’ Needs was published while her husband served as senator, “Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops” was published while her husband served as vice president, and “Joey: The Story of Joe Biden” was published while her husband was running for president in 2020?
.
Was it a bribe when Michelle Obama’s book “American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America” was published while her husband was president?
.
Was it a bribe when Laura and Jenna Bush’s book “Read All About It!” was published while their husband and father was president?
.
Was it a bribe when Roger Clinton got a record contract and acting career while his brother ran for and served as president?
.
Was it a bribe when Hillary Clinton’s books, “It Takes a Village,” “Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids Letters to the First Pets,” and “An Invitation to the White House: At Home with History” were published while her husband was president, and “Living History” while she served as senator?
.
Was it a bribe when Barbara Bush’s books “C. Fred’s Story: A Dog’s Life” was published while her husband served as vice president, and “Millie’s Book: As Dictated to Barbara Bush” was published while her husband served as president?
.
Was it a bribe when Billy Carter started selling “Billy Beer” and licensed toy models of his “Billy Carter’s Redneck Power Pick-Up” when his brother was president?
.
Was it a bribe when Hollywood sold the sitcom “Carter Country” to ABC while President Carter was in office because the show was named after him?
.
It has been my experience that when films gets great reviews they’re really pretty bad, but when they get bad or average reviews they tend to be great or good films.
.
No, I don’t have any plans to see “Melania” at this time.

30
6

No, it’s only bad when Republicans do something….. anything!

17
15

Trump doesn’t need direct bribes. He has sneakers, watches, trading cards, investment funds and crypto coins in both their names.
That Carter Country story I know to be false.

5
29

doh,
.
Carter Country.
.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QZf5Odx5dgI&pp=ygUeQ2FydGVyIGNvdW50cnkgb3BlbmluZyBjcmVkaXRz0gcJCZEKAYcqIYzv
.
President Jimmy Carter entered office in 1977, so, why would a 1977-1979 sitcom taking place in “Clinton Corners, Georgia” be called “Carter Country,” when none of the actors or characters have the name “Carter?” It’s because the fictional town of “Clinton Corners, Georgia” was set near Plains, Georgia, the home of President Jimmy Carter. That’s the truth!!!
.
Was it both a “bribe” and “indirect bribe” when President Ronald Reagan took office in 1981 and his first wife, actress Jane Wyman (Sarah Jane Mayfield Fulks Durrell Wyman Futterman Reagan Karger Karger), came out of semi-retirement to star in the prime time soap opera “Falcon Crest,” which aired for almost the entire length of his presidency? Was it both a “bribe” and “indirect bribe” when Michael Reagan, the son of President Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, took an acting role on his mother’s prime time soap opera “Falcon Crest?”
.
Was it both a “bribe” and an “indirect bribe” when President Joe Biden took office and his son, Hunter Biden, started selling his straw paintings?
.
I believe all of the Trump branded products that you mentioned are subsidiaries of the Trump Organization or joint-ventures with other non-Trump Organization companies, and not in the name of Melania and Donald Trump Sr.
.
So, now the public freely purchasing a Trump branded product is a “bribe” and an “indirect bribe.” You do realize that using your logic of “bribes” and “indirect bribes” that you’re admitting that Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Jenna Bush, Roger Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Bush, Jane Wyman, Michael Reagan, Billy Carter, President Jimmy Carter, President Ronald Reagan, President George H.W. Bush, President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, President Barack Obama, and President Joe Biden all took “direct bribes” or “indirect bribes” for their book deals, recording contract and acting career in the case of Roger Clinton, beer, toys, and model line in the case of Billy Carter, the naming of the ABC sitcom “Carter Country,” the post-semi-retirement acting career in the case of actress Jane Wyman, the acting career in the case of Michael Reagan, and the straw painting career in the case of Hunter Biden.
.
If you don’t like the current system then put pressure on Congress to pass a law that pays the family members of president’s their earnings equal to the year prior to the election or the year prior to announcing a run for president in order to take them out of the workforce for the entirety of the term of a president.

this is great. Ice agents will think twice now that they know that they are being watched.

2
10

Wouldn’t it be a crying shame if an agent’s body cam video provided the absolute proof that an agent was responding properly and justified in using force to defend himself?
Yes, this is great.

7
4

Good! Fact is fact. Unfortunately, there a certain group of people who refuse to acknowledge the fact. They know who they are!

2
5

The agent who shot the poet and mother, Renee Good, had a body camera. It clearly shows her refusing a lawful order, driving recklessly, and striking an agent with a car. With all that, the TDS crowd still denies her culpability.
Body camera or not, the lyin’ left will only see what they want to see.

8
4

Awesome! The both families are lawyering up for a possible civil lawsuit. I can’t wait to see the body cam footage. I hope the well known civil rights attorney John Burris and Benjamin crump are involved since they have great records for making the government cough up millions in civil rights lawsuits. I hope each family will get $40m. So the dhs might as well earmark $80m for them instead of paying $50k signing bonus for agent recruitment.
