A coordinated wave of student walk-outs, demonstrations, and economic protest actions are expected across the United States today as part of a nationwide “National Shutdown” scheduled for Friday, January 30, 2026. Organizers are calling on participants to walk-out of school, work, and skip shopping in opposition to recent U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions and federal immigration enforcement tactics.

Maybe, just maybe it has nothing to do with the Obama and more to do with how ICE executed the raids then and how they are executing them now. You can be against ICE abuse of power AND against illegal violent offenders at the same time. It’s called adult-level reasoning.
Obama built the cages, separated families, yanked people out of car and many people died from mass drones strikes abroad. The difference is that the paid for media covered for him and the dems had the control over most of the government. Nobody was out in the street assaulting ICE who was ran by Tom Homan at that timne as well…this is called adult reasoning not a knee jerk reaction to bits and pieces of what the media wants you to believe…but you are the adult in the room.

Let us say you are correct that the media showed nothing of what was done during the Obama Administration. Does that make the actions of ICE today OK? Or does it make the actions of ICE wrong then and wrong now?
I can’t answer that question. I haven’t witnessed any of it first hand, back then and now; and I certainly don’t believe and I’m not duped by whats spewed by slanted liberal news media.

A fun way to start a three day holiday…..In my High School Protest 5 to10 percent of the students went to the protest the other 90 per cent went off to party and get high.

Y’all apparently know some truly stupid kids. My kid and his friends will talk for 20 minutes, referencing studies, how the raids fit into historical contexts, and go on and on, citing effects of US involvement with collapsing foreign countries. It’s admirable and refreshing. The conservative adults in the room get so angry because they can’t speak to anything the kids being up; get mad, tell the kids that they don’t know what they’re talking about, and when pressed by the kids for information and facts, get angry and walk away. Grown, conservative adults getting their butts handed to them by 15 year olds. It’s delicious. No wonder conservativism is so huge and loud these days — nothing like the anger and hurt from being shown that you aren’t, never have been, and never will be smart enough to support the ideas that you feel.
