It depends on how you define “work.” Yes, I do believe that protests are meaningful action, especially when things in society seem dire or people feel helpless. They’re also valuable as a means of connecting with others, sharing mutual pain/frustration/hope, and standing in solidarity. <3 And it doesn’t mean that protesting is the only thing that an activist is doing. They may be writing their congresspeople, attending town halls, working in an industry where they are directly helping people…
No they don’t work. They’re actually causing people to think less of the cause. Especially the case of these liberal protesters Who really looked like a freak show.
What is going on now is not a protest it is funded chaos and anarchy. We voted in a mandate to fix illegal immigration and our borders. This was one of the top issues, The feds need to find out all that are responsible for enabling and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law!
They could be doing so with much less press–this is a deliberate antagonism to foment dissent, brought to you by this administration. If they really wanted to deal with illegal immigration, they would continue what previous presidents (including Biden and Obama) have always done, which is deport. The problem right now is that they aren’t going after hardened criminals, they are going after hardworking families with no criminal record. They are being intentionally inflammatory and they know it.

No, the problem right now is that you and your ilk don’t consider murderers, rapists, and pedophiles hardened criminals.

All throughout US history, protesting has been a catalyst for legal
and social change, thereby forcing the government to take action.
The famous Boston Tea Party was a protest against taxation
without representation. Protesting resulted in The Emancipation
Proclamation, which brought an end to slavery. The Women’s
Suffrage protests led to the ratification of the 19th Amendment,
Labor Rights protests led to the passing of workplace safety laws,
The March on Washington, resulted in the passing of The Civil
Rights Act, The Selma to Montgomery March, played a part in
establishing The Voting Rights Act. The anti-war protests of the
late 60s and early 70s significantly influenced Richard Nixon’s
decision to withdraw troops from Vietnam and bring an end to
the war. Protesting should be loud in order to be heard, but not
to the point of lawlessness. Anybody breaking the law while
protesting should be arrested and prosecuted.
Unfortunately lawlessness is what it has degraded to. 100% agree with all the above and will argue with to the end. “protesting keeps the the common ground reasonable” but this is different. This has evolved into “here me or I will hurt you”. not a protest, a demand, even if they don’t know what they are demanding. Organized manufactured outrage takes away the ligiticamy of real righteous protest.
In the past, protesting was about getting the government to make
a change for the good of the country, what’s going on now is pure
hatred. It’s hatred for Trump and anybody that supports him. They
want to see Trump and his supporters dead, and it’s not only the
rioters, it’s also Democrat politicians and Democrat officials. They
talk about how Trump is destroying democracy, when in reality what
they are doing is an attempt to destroy democracy. Our country is a
democratic constitutional republic ruled by the people. We have a
system where citizens elect representatives to govern under the
rule of the constitution, balancing majority rule with protected
individual rights. The people elected Trump knowing his position
on illegal immigration, and that is what a democracy is.
all those causes were legimate and the protesting of them were focused and had a message….not the case today

I’m just amazed that George Soros and his son haven’t both been bumped off yet.
What the hell does the CIA do anymore?
Soros is the one with an obsession… to fund every anti American movement out there.
I won’t tell you more than that because you should answer your own question by doing a little research and forming your own opinion.
You don’t need to know what I think, you need to know what you think.

Protests and boycotts can sometimes work, but I don’t believe high school walkouts really work.
.
When Mt. Diablo High School students walked out of class in November 2016 to protest the election win of Donald Trump it did nothing, and when Mt. Diablo students walked out again in March 2018 to protest against “gun violence” due to the school shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, it didn’t change anything, but it did cause damage to school property.

I’m really pissed off about this. Protest if you want but my kids said that one of the teachers at concord high put duct tape on the kids backs and wrote “F@&! ICE” on the tape. That’s not ok.

Do they actually work?
Well, they seem to be the practical alternative to work.
So in that context, I suppose they do.
Vietnam was something worth protesting. Imagine being bayoneted to death as a conscripted American so that the south Viets could immediately fold and surrender a few years later.
Ice removing illegals should be celebrated.

Remember when middle school kids were excused from school to protest Donald Trump? They are being fired now.
Not Really
Has it made a difference for anyone?

As he mentions too, … but not to the point of lawlessness.

100% true. But what we are seeing here are nothing more than useful idiots heading us on our way to socialism.
this is an example of the mental gymnastics these people go through.
