As a security professional, I can tell you that if you want excellent video of a break in or your things leaving, this is an excellent choice. Point – ask yourself how many times you’re out somewhere, and you hear the Ring chime on someones phone, and how they never check it. We install the new proactive ai powered deterrent systems, where the camera does everything for you. If someone is on your property doing something bad, it immediately dispatches authorities, and also calls out the bad guy, saying “you, in the black hoodie and blue jeans, by the white car, leave immediately or authorities will be dispatched”
Pretty cool tech.
…sounds great – but how much does it cost? install and monthly service?
All depends on your situation. I can tell you I just had a business client save about $900 from not getting his front door broken, like the other two businesses did that were next to him. Needless to say, he’s pretty happy. Reach out to me @ 844-223-3343 (844-ACE-EDGE) and we can discuss your situation.
We have a ring doorbell, a security system, etc. I guess it’s working okay. I’d rather not have to have all this, but in today’s society better safe than sorry.
My main home security is ADT. I’ve used ADT for over 5 years. A few twist and turns aside, I’ve been quite happy with the service.
I also have a Reolink doorbell camera – mainly because I did not want to pay another monthly subscription fee. I get email and text notifications. I can review the feed live and have two way communication just like the subscription services. The only downside is the video feed is stored in the unit itself via a MicroSD card.
We have a controlled access gate, deadbolts, a Remington 870 Tactical, and 9mm pistols.
If you know, you know.
For many years, my home has been insured by the Second Amendment,
protected by Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson, and secured by Samuel Colt.
It’s low maintenance, and works just fine.
… and I’m sure Jack Daniels comes there too.
I’m not much of a drinker, but if I did, I’d prefer Johnny Walker Black Label.
Love my Dan Wesson .357 and .44, have 4 different barrel lengths for both both those are my favorites I’ve had since 1980.. My Glock
.40 is ok, AR if that time ever comes, a Kahr .40 as a smaller conceal carry.
Dirty Harry: We’re not just going to let you walk out of here.
Criminal: Who’s we, sucka?
Dirty Harry: Smith, Wesson, and me.
I have blink cameras at all entry points just so I can see who is in and out. I love it but I don’t really believe that the system can deter crime.
I have Blink too! It sure can deter crime, especially if you start talking through the camera speaker to whoever it is you see on your property.
You can talk to them (the thieves) on the cam but if they know that realize that you aren’t physically in the house, they just might go ahead with theirs crimes. In addition, thieves are smart; some of them already know how to use WiFi jammer to defeat the WiFi connection which render the cameras useless. And according to recent news, they hide cameras to monitor the targets before the strike day.
My system does not indicate where I am, why would any system do that?
I use the intercom feature when I’m at home or when I’m away.
I talk to delivery guys all the time, nobody knows where I’m at.
I haven’t had any problems (other than raccoons and coyotes activating my cameras in the wee hours waking me up) & no matter what high tech gizmos potential intruders might employ, Mr. Min Pin will sound the backup alarm & I’ll respond with a Ruger .357
I like my system.
Yes – camera & alarm ….love it, great peace of mind … and yes, it has been useful
Better part of Clayton don’t need much security BUT well armed just in case some dumba**comes in uninvited to do us harm. Got Winchester 1300 defender pistol grip with 00 buck and slugs loaded. 7 shots of that mix will take out anything.
I have Wyze cameras in different outdoor areas. The doorbell is also Wyze. I am a video hobbyist anyway and my first “security camera” was taking a webcam and having watch the street in front. Now I use a camera that stores motion it catches on a memory card on it and video can be retrieved via app.
The criminals don’t care if you have a camera. They can get in and out fast with your stuff. I do have a non-subscription doorbell cam. Nice to know when packages are dropped off.
Exactly. I just have local storage for my blink system instead of paying the monthly subscription. When I am on vacation, I plug a 110db siren into a smart plug that I can remotely activate; also I plug a few lamps into smart plugs to keep the light on and off when I am on vacation to deter thieves who hate bright light and loud sound.
You’re correct. That is what perimeter guard ai systems are for. Because once they’re in, its game over.
Funny stuff.. “sarcasm” don’t know if this is good or bad.
