Hollywood. The Walk of Fame is boring and inconsequential.

Yes, I agree with you. Hollywood just another tourist trap. All about making movies, boring, crime. Hollywood Blvd and sunset Blvd both streets are just a dump.

Concord Ca. [ HANDS DOWN ] ‘Todo Santos’ is a equal tourist trap and ‘Willowpass park’ is way over rated

Claude Long,
.
That’s exactly why the Concord City Council wants the Concord Tournament Park to be built on the former CNWS property, so that Concord will become a “destination city.”
.
Do you remember when former Concord City Councilman Ron Leone was still on the council and would talk about wanting MOTCO to close so that the City of Concord could take over ownership of the base, especially its deep water port, so that Concord could become a “cruise ship destination?”

Disneyland is definitely overpriced…. to the point of , I think the experience isn’t worth the cost and therefore overrated. . It used to be a place most families could afford every now and then. I say overrated because now you have to pay extra for everything, things which used to be free. I know we are a capitalist society and Disney is a corporation, but , I used to be a pretty avid park goer and I haven’t been in about 8 years.

Agree. It is a shadow of what it was. And there are basically no attendance caps anymore. Not an enjoyable experience. Not to mention how the stroller parking has taken over! Barely any room to even walk.

Both Disneyland and Florida Disneyland are just now overprice especially Disneyworld in Florida is now $150 just for one day for a person. It’s Crazy Both Disneylands was better back in the 80’s Now it gotten a lot worst!!!!!!

We were at Disneyland Paris last year and it’s nicer and less expensive than Disneyland in Anaheim. Plus, you are only about 45 minutes from Paris, one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.

I love to travel, and we’re well-traveled but I’m going with NYC. It’s overcrowded, dirty, expensive and too fast and aggressive for me.

YUP NYC now the most expensive city to travel to everything overpriced. Hotels are just out of control in Manhattan. You have to go somewhere outside of Manhattan for a cheaper hotel.

Most big popular cities are expensive, NYC, Paris, London, but they have a lot to offer. NY, The Metropolitan Museum, The Guggenheim, Museum of Modern Art, Central Park is wonderful in the fall. Rockefeller Plaza and l love the Grand Central station building. Let’s not forget Macy’s the New York store covers a whole city block. Then off course there’s the theater district, and the restaurants, and Deli’s.

I haven’t been to very many tourists spots because I dislike crowds,
but I would probably go with Disneyland. From what I’ve heard, it’s
too expensive and overly crowded. The last time I was there was in
the 80s on Christmas Day. We had a lot of fun, mostly because there
was hardly anybody there. We just about had the park to ourselves,
and the weather was in the high 70s that day. The next day we drove
out to Death Valley, which in my opinion is an underrated vacation
destination. It’s beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, and the winter months
are the best time to visit.

I have not been to Disneyland, but I been to Disney World. An old boyfriend was living in Orlando, and he invited me when my daughter was 4, it was in the eighties, and we had a great time. My daughter went to Disneyland with her dad. Now that she lives in Pasadena she has taken my grandchildren, but she complains how expensive it is, even though her husband makes good money.

LA …. not including Disneyland

Las Vegas…Everything on the strip is so expensive from the shows, food/drinks, and even the resort fees!

Las Vegas is now a dump not as nice as it was in the 80s. Las Vegas lost a lot of good hotels. My favorite the Tropicana and Frontier.

Vegas was at its best when it was owned by the Mob. After Nevada
passed the Corporate Gaming Act, it allowed giant corporations to
take over, and Vegas hasn’t been the same since.

Depends what you are looking for. European cities still have the same historic buildings, the Alps are still as well as the rivers etc.

Las Vegas and Disneyland have to be the worst values, we also did the Disney resort in Hawaii and that is a ton of money for what you get.
