Bank Robbery In Alamo, Attempted Robbery In Lafayette Lead To Arrests

Two suspects believed to be connected to robberies in multiple jurisdictions are now in custody following incidents Tuesday afternoon.

On February 17, 2026, at approximately 1:01 p.m., deputies from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office Valley Station responded to a reported bank robbery in the 3100 block of Danville Boulevard in Alamo.

Suspect and vehicle descriptions were immediately broadcast to surrounding agencies. Danville police identified a license plate associated with the suspect vehicle and began searching for it.

At the same time, Lafayette police officers searching the downtown area witnessed an attempted robbery outside a bank in the 3600 block of Mt. Diablo Boulevard. The suspect ran to a waiting vehicle, which fled toward Lafayette Circle. Officers later located the unoccupied vehicle parked on Lafayette Circle.

Police detained two suspects near East Street and determined they were connected to both the Lafayette attempted robbery and the earlier Alamo bank robbery. During a search, officers located a replica Glock-style firearm inside a backpack.

Authorities say another law enforcement agency is investigating a similar incident that occurred shortly before the Alamo robbery.

Both suspects were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility:

During the search, Valley Station deputies and Lafayette police were assisted by Danville, Orinda, Moraga, and Concord police departments.

“The Usual Suspects” Talk about Scary Looking!

Talk about nit-nests. Talk about smelly looking!
These criminal thugs — and those in political leadership who encourage this behavior by
voting against firm punishment — feel zero guilt about dragging the reputations of an
entire race and a proud, respectful and upward-bound ethnicity down the drain with them.
What a Shame!

Sistas be making their men-boys go out and earn their keep. Sistas be no-sweat and making
buck on all that Macy’s (etc) perfume and make-up. Brothers been being lazy-stupid.
Feral losers causing all the rest of us to pay more for everything. Everything.

I am assuming they were not charged with armed robbery because they used replicas. Is that why there are the conspiracy charges, conspiracy to appear to be armed in order to conduct a crime? Never figured Lafayette, nor Alamo to be a magnet for such desirables. I agree with @domo, bail is way too low. I also suspect a certain DA will not work too hard to prosecute.

Hopefully this helps:

For the crime of robbery (211 PC) you need to take something from a person using force or fear. The force or fear is from the perspective of the victim. The use of a weapon is not required to complete the elements of the crime of robbery but taking something is.

I’m guessing nothing was taken from the bank so it was an attempt and not a completed act of robbery.

Conspiracy is just when 2 or more people plan a criminal act AND made an overt act to complete the crime. It becomes an additional criminal act in furtherance of the attempted robbery.

Surprise they caught them as they blend in so well in Lafayette. I’m sure they don’t have any prior arrests 🙁 “…Danville police identified a license plate associated with the suspect vehicle ” Thank you license plate readers?

Are they back on the street yet?

2

Surprise; they are from Antioch. That’s what happens when you force-relocate all the criminal thugs from North Richmond to Antioch! Antioch really screwed their city up by allowing that many years back!

You would be surprised how many people in Antioch have 510 area codes .
