No question – prefer the colder weather …… easy to keep warm with jackets – harder to keep cool when it’s 110 and do stuff in the yard and around the house…. A/C costs can go through thee roof too – in winter just wear a sweater in the house

That depends on how hot and how cold. I’m more in the middle and content
when it’s mild outside. Anywhere between 65 and 94 and I’m happy.

I prefer warmer weather. I am “cold blooded” meaning that my normal body temperature is less than 98.6. So I’m more sensitive to cold. I feel better on warm summer days. If it gets up into the 90s I may feel less comfortable.

In the late1800s, Dr. Carl Wunderlich of Germany did a study of 25,000
patients involving a million measurements. Based on his studies, he
determined that 98.6 was the average body temperature. He took their
temperatures under their armpit using a foot long thermometer. Medical
science has since determined that due to evolution, the average body
temperature has gone down to 97.5 to 97.9. They base their findings on
better health due to the reduction of chronic inflammation that was caused
by the many diseases that were common in the 19th century.

Wish I could enjoy this cooler weather but having Raynaud’s.

Not to mention how much cold weather in the Bay Area costs due to PG&E. 🙄

Give me a nice summer day. Riding on the Harley, or taking the top and doors off the Jeep.

I prefer hot, around 80-90 or a bit more. I do enjoy the change of the seasons and the rain though. I think our weather is as good as it gets.

I have lost weight in the last year. I like the cold a lot less now that I can feel it in my bones!
I certainly have empathy for all the homeless people in this weather. I always prefer cold to hot, as RCP said, you can always layer on ….

At least in the Summer months (where it reaches 100 degrees a few times a year) – we get a break in morning, evening & night. With cold / snow – you don’t get a break – it’s just cold!

Summertime and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high
Your daddy’s rich and your ma is good-lookin’
So hush, little baby, baby, don’t you cry!

Amen

Great song from Porgy and Bess.

I grew up with 4 seasons, although summer in Denmark is not a sure thing, it can get cold and rainy, and the weather can change from hour to hour. No wonder I love the California weather. I lived on the East Coast for 6 years and they have more defined seasons, love the fall, and summer as well. I find in California I’m ready for the colder weather when it arrives in the fall, and here I don’t have to fight the snow, which is not much fun. Love the snow in Tahoe. I like the summers here until it gets in the nineties. I lived in New Orleans for one and half year, I hated the climate there it was hot and humid most of the year, and there were no nice beaches close by. When I lived in Westport Ct. in the summer I spend a lot of time on the beach. The East Coast summers are humid as well, but nothing like New Orleans.

You can always put more clothes on. You can only take so many off, legally, that is!

There are places on earth where it gets so cold you can’t expose any skin. Mostly in Russia, I forgot the name of the cities but is sounds brutal. In Denmark, when the temperature is right around freezing it can be very humid, it chills you to the bone. Whereas when it is a few degrees freezing and the sun is out it actually feels warmer.
