I have read/heard that the silly “Billionaire Tax” prop has substantial support behind it, such that it will likely pass. I also have heard of at least 3 billionaires have left the state. Of the 215 or so (depending on source), I would suspect that more than 2/3 will also leave should the prop pass. What then? The bolus of cash to help make all the illegals comfortable, well fed and cared for will last only so long, particularly after the bureaucracy gets their vig.

Judges are not supposed to be independent, they’re supposed to be impartial arbiters of the law, and they don’t follow the Constitution, they subjectively interpret the Constitution.

The prosecution of a Chicago woman who was shot 5 times by Border Patrol Agents fell apart and was dropped because of video evidence that contradicted the official narrative of the DOJ, DHS, FBI, and U.S. Border Patrol Agents involved in the shooting, and the existence of text messages and emails between federal government employees which would’ve made a successful prosecution unlikely. Why would you want Democratic Party insiders choosing a candidate to endorse for Governor of California, instead of just having voters make that decision in June, without the influence of the party? It’s a great thing, and not a bad thing, that Democratic Party insiders didn’t endorse one of their 16 candidates (made up of 9 major candidates and 7 minor candidates) for Governor of California. No endorsement means there’s less of a chance that the field of candidates will consolidate. You should want all 16 Democrats in the race for governor to remain in the race for as long as possible, so that their names remain on the ballot and voters split their votes enough among the 9 major and 7 minor Democrats so that 1 or both of the 2 major Republican candidates for governor has a chance to make it to the general election runoff. Honestly, Republican Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner Chad Bianco should drop out of the race because he can’t win a statewide general election in California, as he’s too conservative for the state. Last year, Governor Newsom propsed the closure of another California prison in 2026, after previously closing 4 other prisons since becoming Governor in 2019. He has California on a path that could lead to the closure of 5 more prisons beginning in 2027. He’s transforming San Quentin into a Rehabilitation and Reentry Center.
