I listen to a few true crime podcasts My favorite is with Tom Zenner/Kato Kaelin. They cover high profile cases, especially the ones in LA. Never a dull moment, especially with retired LAPD detectives.

Breaking Points – excellent bi partisan coverage of recent events with 2 conservatives and 2 dems. They’re also fully independent so they cover a lot of stories that mainstream media does not.

I haven’t listened to a radio show since the death of Pete Wilson on KGO.
In 2007, Pete was undergoing hip replacement surgery, and died from a
heart attack during the operation. I also listened to Jim Eason and
Dr. Dean Edell on KGO. Those days are over, so now if I have the radio on,
I listen to music.
I used to listen to Lee Rodgers and Melanie Morgan on KSFO. Lee died not long after leaving radio at the age of 75…. same story, died during surgery.
I’ll always remember him breaking the news moments after the 2nd tower was hit on 9/11 “We are under attack!”
I listened to Rush from the time his show was broadcast in the Bay Area (1988?) until he died. Now, whatever is on KSFO when I’m driving between 6AM and 6PM. Sometimes I listen to Dan Bongino (now that he’s back podcasting) or Vince Coglianese.
I liked Pete Wilson, my favorites were John Rothmann and Gene Burns. Gene was great very smart man. Sad what happened to KGO.

Listened to KGO and KNBR since I was a little kid. Mom had it on before school and while she made dinner. Goofy polka music, Doug Pledger, Owen Spann, Jim Eason, Giants, and fun and news bits. Continued listening years later during KGO’s glory days. Now, when insomnia strikes, I listen to Coast to Coast “in the middle of the night” but tune out if it feels too creepy. Give me a good generic night-camping story “at the lake” complete with strange craft, an unbelieving sheriff and a maverick cow or two with weird eyes.

A&G (Armstrong and Getty) on Spotify. Intelligent, Insightful, and funny as hell. And…. by listening the next day I can ff through the commercials.
A&G are the guys I star my day with driving to my part time / sort of retired guy job and while I’m driving 2 hours each morning…. Katie Green (formerly of KSFO) is their news lady!
I also listen to A&G. I occasionally listen to Levin, not as much as I used to, mostly due to time and/or poor streaming.

What’s the missing one?
And, no, don’t look it up!
Also, Duck’s Breath Mystery Theatre:
Do you remember this intro?
“Roto, the monster, he’s from outer space,
Coming to destroy us, destroy the human race.
He’s Roto the monster, from real far away”
sung in a very cheery voice.

Looks like I’m in company here. A and G in the mornings for years now. Occasionally listen to Michael Savage, particularly his rants on x on the weekends. Currently listening to The Rest Is History podcast which is amazing.
When I was working, I listened to KGO during the workday, and Pete Wilson was my favorite commentator. I also enjoyed Ronn Owens, Jim Eason, Dr Dean, and Paul Harvey. I rarely listened at night, but when I did, Dwayne Garrett was my go-to. He had his demons, but he understood California politics better than anyone who wasn’t Willie Brown.
Since retiring, I don’t listen to anyone on the radio. I only listen to music channels, and if the DJ is talking longer than about 12 seconds, I’m changing the channel.

Since KGO folded it has been hard to find any talk radio show with a liberal bend. I especially liked John Rothmann. One former KGO host now has a 2 hour show on UTube “The Mark Thompson Show”, he has John Rothmann on every Wednesday. Other guests as well, the show is very diversified as to guests and topics. I used to listen and like Tom Sullivan on KFBK Sacramento, he was conservative, but fair minded, and he would take calls from liberals and treat them with respect. His replacement Sam Shane is so one sided, Trump great, Democrats bad, that he is too predictable to be interesting. KFBK night host Pat Walsh I listen too at times, he often talks music which is one of my passions. The Dave Ramsey show used to be heard in the Bay Area, not anymore, so at times I listen to his show on UTube. Also, on UTube I watch and listen to The Bulwark, they have different commentators on when you look them up it says they have a conservative bend but anti-Trump. I find them to be fairly liberal. I will sometimes listen to Armstrong and Getty in the morning. I started listening to them when I moved to Benicia in 1998, at that time they were more libertarian, and not so political, they were also funnier.
