The Contra Costa County Public Works Department will continue tree removal work on Morgan Territory Road on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, weather permitting.

Crews will be working near milepost 5.0, about 0.3 miles north of Wirthman Lane, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic control will be in place to safely guide vehicles through the work zone, and a temporary lane closure will be required during the operation.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect possible delays of up to 20 minutes.

County officials said the tree removal is being done in preparation for the Marsh Creek Road Bridge Replacement project at Morgan Territory Road near Post Mile 5.0.

I sure hope they are using electric chainsaws and electric trucks. After all, they are constantly pushing citizens to give up fossil fuel. Perhaps they should consider leading by example!
