The Concord Police Association has announced its annual Scholarship Award Program, reaffirming its commitment to supporting youth in the community.
The program provides scholarships to outstanding college-bound graduating high school seniors, as well as community college transfer students and continuing college students who attend Concord schools, live in the Concord community, or are dependents of active or retired members of the Concord Police Association. The scholarships are competitive and merit-based, and are designed to help students offset the costs of pursuing higher education.
The association encourages graduating seniors, full-time community college transfer students, and full-time continuing college students from high schools in the Concord area who plan to attend a four-year college or university to apply. Dependents of active or retired Concord Police Association members are also eligible.
Information about the program is available on the “Scholarship” page of the Concord Police Association website at www.concordpoa.org. Applications and scholarship guidelines can be downloaded from the site, or requested by calling (925) 676-8298 or emailing concordpoa54@yahoo.com.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 22, 2026. A total of $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded, including one $1,000 scholarship, four $500 scholarships, and eight $250 scholarships.
