Federal authorities are warning that Iran could attempt to strike the U.S. West Coast using suicide drones launched from a vessel off the California coastline, according to recent intelligence alerts circulated to law enforcement agencies.

The warning follows escalating tensions between the United States and Iran after recent military strikes in the Middle East. According to reports, the FBI advised local police departments that Iran had expressed interest in carrying out a surprise drone attack against targets in California as a form of retaliation.
