Good point. This sounds like a set-up for a false flag attack.
What better way to get approval for a war that is unpopular even with Trump’s base. And people like you will take the bait and demand “absolute” responses.
Why a nuke would be justified for a non-nuclear attack, is beyond me. If that’s your logic, what does Iran get for 100+ children the US killed by bombing their school.
The bombing of the school was done in error (it was formerly part of an IRGC base and probably mistakenly targeted due to bad info).
The difference is Iran targets civilians purposely so the only thing Iran “gets” for this tragic bombing is a taste of their own medicine.
I notice you did not cry out about those deliberate bombings of civilians in Israel by Iran or their slaughter of 30,000 of their own people to which “people like you” oddly did not demand any response.
The first question you have to ask is how would Iran benefit from attack civilians on the west coast? For that matter, would it really be advantageous to strike at military targets that aren’t in the same operational theater?
Secondly, how would you know that it was actually Iran? Do you think our government is above a false flag attack on their own people? The Bush administration discussed doing just that to garner support for the Iraqi war.
So who would benefit more from a strike on the West coast Iran or the US?
@yoyo, you just proved that there is such a thing as a silly question. Iran has proven itself willing to strike out at innocent civilians many times, all to spread hatred.
We’re “The Great Satan” any successful vengeance attack would certainly be a morale booster for the fanatical Iranian government and their supporters.
We don’t need an attack on the homeland to raise support for our war on terrorism.
Any rational American who has paid any attention at all to Iran’s sponsoring terrorism for the past 47 years already knows this comeuppance is way overdue.
A nuclear weaponized Iran is a worst case scenario which can’t be allowed.
Why don’t you wild eyed conspiracy theorists just pipe down and stay out of the way while our military cleans up the mess Obama & Biden made of things?

It would really only make sense for Iran to attack refineries on the west coast of the U.S. I don’t think Iran attacks any country for their own benefit.
