Here is a look at the weekly Clayton crime roundup, based on recent police activity reported by the Clayton Police Department.
Police responded to a minor traffic collision early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Oak Street and High Street. The crash was reported at about 4:48 a.m. on March 11, and authorities said no injuries were reported.
Officers also made two arrests during the week. On March 9 at about 6:29 a.m., police were called to the 1500 block of Kirker Pass Road for a report of a trespasser refusing to leave the property. When officers arrived, they arrested a 40-year-old transient man on suspicion of trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and a probation violation. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking.
In a separate incident on March 12 at about 4:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near Marsh Creek Road and Regency Drive after observing vehicle code violations. A 65-year-old Clayton man was arrested on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for DUI. He was later released on a signed promise to appear in court.
Police also reported two theft-related incidents during the period. A petty theft was reported March 9 in the 1500 block of Kirker Pass Road, and a grand theft was reported March 11 on Buckeye Terrace.
Authorities reported no vandalism cases during the reporting period.
Maybe Hollywood could bring back CSI…. yeah! CSI Claycord!
Audiences would be on the edge of their seats…a thrill a minute!
They could even dig up a new Ginger actor to be the whispering cop & dive us insane with the same old songs from the same old rock band, over and over and over…. for their bumper music…. just not The Who again (they sure wore that one out) I’m thinking either Nickelback doing “I figured You Out” or the The Offspring doing “Come Out and Play” over and over and over in every episode.
That ought to really capture the essence of Claycord’s steamy criminal underbelly.
