Only three States currently have gas prices averaging over $5.00 a gallon. They are California $5.61 (of course), Hawaii, and Washington. Five states are in the $4.00-4.66 range, they are Alaska, Arizona, Illinois, Nevada & Oregon. All other states are in the $3.00-$3.96 range, with Kansas and Oklahoma being the cheapest at $3.24 a gallon.

wasn’t a question just a few days ago about the $0.90 tax (~16%) we are gifted with by our tax starved spenders in the legislature/city councils?
When people reduce gas purchases because prices are high, all the government will do is complain that tax revenue is down and look for new ways to tax.
We’d be better off with far less government.

So you know that oil that you are pumping in your car right now was purchased more than a year ago at those market rates, so maybe instead of just regurgitating what you are told to ask yourself exactly why your local gas stations are using the annihilation of the the IRGC as an excuse to gouge you or why your duly elected governor refuses to abolish our idiotic extra 1.00 per gallon gas tax…wild stretch I know!

Gas currently averages a little over $8/gallon in Italy. However, the Italians don’t drive as much as we do. Italy is about the same distance north to south as California. As another point of reference, Rome to Milan (the two largest cities in Italy) is the same distance as Clayton to LA.
Stop voting for tax increases that never benefit the program they are supposed to help.
it’s simple math. Newsome has nothing to do with tax increases. He can propose all he wants but ultimately it is the voting public that decides when taxes are increased or not. So blame your fellow California residence
