Kaiser Health Workers Ratify New Contract, Ending Lengthy Labor Dispute

Health care workers at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California and Hawaii have approved a new contract, ending a prolonged labor dispute.

A supermajority of about 31,000 members of the United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals voted to ratify the deal, union officials said. The agreement runs through Sept. 30, 2029.

Negotiations began in March 2025, with workers pushing for higher wages, safer staffing and better working conditions. The dispute led to multiple strikes, including a nearly monthlong walkout earlier this year that union leaders called the largest of its kind in U.S. history.

The new contract includes pay increases, staffing improvements and expanded roles for certain caregivers. Kaiser Permanente has not yet commented.

yeah right… they’ll have another “contract dispute / slow down / strike” in 6 months or less – bets anybody?

Not only that but the quality of individual has deteriotated below acceptable standards. My wife had to endure 12 pokes for an IV and then the assistant or whatever their title is had to call in their boss what a joke and we pay in excess of 800$ for medical monthly. We need vouchers for a choice and end this crap care abomination Obama Care. People need to get off their ass go to work and buy their own medical and bring back county for those that want to be lazy!
