The shopping center on Treat near Clayton Rd… where the post office is and Staples – and the center directly across the street – where Togo’s is….
i work near here and i agree its an eyesore, even worse since they ripped out the middle buildings to the right of staples. I heard (so just hearsay) that the owner lived on the east coast and didnt care about the shopping center much on his deathbed and has since died in the last year or so and now family owns it, hopefully they will develop it more.
Bel air shopping center. Let’s build more affordable housing there or Kmart site since there are already affordable apartments and section 8 around those sites.
Easy pass on letting more section 8 or “high density” housing in. This is exactly what the issue is currently. This once beautiful sleepy little slice of country heaven looks like a cesspool in the last decade! Look at the trash that lines the gutters up and down Clayton Road, homeless encampments and the sudden explosion of Kebab shops. Yep time to pack up the wagon and giddyup, 57 years here is more than enough!!!
Trash on the roads?
Watch those MDRR trucks as they ramble down the roads and see how much junk flies off them.
Country????? That area hasn’t looked or been”country” since they started building the strip malls in the late 60’s/early 70″s. KMart is as far from “country” as you can get. Want country, go find a Dollar General as most of those are built in the middle of nowhere.
Dollar General on Solano at Grant doesn’t look country to me . . .
Paul,
.
There you go showing us exactly who you are, again. Posting something for no other reason than to generate anger to elicit a response out of anger.
.
You’re more than free to purchase the Bel Air Shopping Center and Kmart properties to build your own affordable housing apartment complexes.
Countrywood. Poor management lets it rundown
Agreed it was so much nicer just 5 years ago! Pretty common theme around here these days!
Technically not in Claycord, but the Sun Valley Mall that I grew up with in my high school years is dead.
Raze it and put up something nice.
