100% about squeezing more money out of citizens. Its 100% BS. Remember, whenever the State tries to pass a road infrastructure tax, they will move money that was originally earmarked for road maintenance, construction, etc and move it to a pet project that WE THE PEOPLE do not approve or did not approve.
Stop funding so many inept social programs, stop giving $$$ to illegals, and start focusing on your citizenry. Bring back businesses, bring back the economy circa 1990.

If you pay for the toll road, you may whiz by others for a minute or two, but eventually you will catch up to THAT GUY. And he will waste your toll money all the way to San Jose……..

They are extortion to take more money from the tax payer. We all pay taxes and should have equal access to all lanes. The Fastrak is a straight up scam that makes you reup your account at no less than 25$ increments. It is more robbery from a state that does nothing but steal from the citizens to say how big of an economy that it is…California is circling the toilet for that final swirl dance before it flushes down!!!
This one’s easy… squeezing more $$ out of us taxpayers that has already paid for the highway or road and already pay way too much in gas taxes… so this just goes to the politicos “general fund” aka pet projects

Have you ever looked up how much is generated in toll fees daily in California from the bridges! Most other states do not charge to go over their bridges just certain states…complete and total scam it is beyond infuriating, found this with quick Google search:
Charging tolls on Sat and Sun…with few using the lane…is just Nonsense..
We shouldn’t be paying 1 penny in toll fees. The bridges are long paid for and taxation pays for the maintenance. It is stright up robbery courteousy of our elected leaders in this state!

No, they just create more traffic but restricting one lane and then charge drivers to use it to avoid they traffic they created.
