The California prison population has been reduced by 70,000 compared to 2010 prison population numbers.

Since Governor Newsom became governor in 2019 he’s closed five California prisons and a sixth prison may also be slated for closure in the near future.

There are problems with the “system,” justice is supposed to be blind, it’s not!!! Judges are supposed to be impartial, but they aren’t, they overwhelmingly favor the prosecution. Peace Officers are more corrupt than the judges, they too often make mistakes and quite often have a problem with the truth. The most corrupt are the prosecutors, they too often overcharge in order to force a plea deal and they charge when no crime has been committed in order to protect peace officers and law enforcement agencies from reputational damage and civil rights lawsuits. Civil rights lawsuits inherently result in fairly small settlements, but we still pay out billions in damages each year in civil rights claims because of bad policing. The biggest problem is that we have too many judges, peace officers, and prosecutors who have political aspirations and misuse their positions to show that they’re “tough on crime” for future political campaigns.

Everyday we hear how Iran’s military has been ‘decimated’ and how we’ve nearly won the war but here we are with the first US fighter jet shot down in over 20 years. This is a week after they blew up a $300 million dollar E3 sentry on the tarmac. Gotta love the lies and propaganda from the White House.
Let’s not forget that ours bases are being targeted that the military personnels are staying in hotels.
Iran’s drones are a real problem. They have tens of thousands of them and they’re very difficult to see on radar and shoot down. If Trump/Israel follow through with their infastructure strikes then Iran (as they’ve warned) is going to turn around and blow up the same infrastructure on the other side of the strait sending oil to the moon and creating a massive humanitarian crisis if desalination plants are struck. When Russia strikes civilian energy facilities we call them war crimes but for some reason it’s fine if we do it.

It’s always been that way, we call what Russia does “war crimes,” and the Russians call what we do “war crimes.” I’ve long said that China, Israel, Russia, and the U.S. seem to be able to get away with bombing/invading other countries with little to no consequences. It just seems to be accepted by the rest of the world for whatever reason.
What Israel is doing in Lebanon right now is one of the craziest things I’ve seen. Back when Russia annexed Crimea it was global front page news. Same thing when they invaded Ukraine in 2022. Now Israel is annexing huge swaths of Lebanese territory, demolishing entire neighborhoods with placed explosives – not even airstrikes. They’ve currently taken more territory than Russia did in 2022 and yet it’s basically not covered in the news at all. The double standards are insane. Just imagine if some foreign nation cleared out your neighborhood and then walked house to house loading each one up with C4.

I fully believe that the Israeli government knew the October 07, 2023 attack was coming and purposely let it happen, so that they could use the event as justification, their “War on Terror,” to take military action in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran to rid themselves of their enemies, force out the remaining population, and expand their territorial boundaries.

The Israeli government has already admitted that they possessed knowledge of the October 07, 2023 attack by Hamas well before the attack happened and made excuses as to why they didn’t take it seriously. But you can go ahead and celebrate all 4 just the same.
How could you not know that we lost at least 2 planes (F-15 and A-10 warthog) on 4/2? Iran took down the F-15. One of the f-15 crew is still missing in Iran and iran offers a $60k bounty for him/her. The other one was rescued. Iran also got the A-10 but the pilot was able to get out and ditched the plane.

It appears as though he was correcting the error made by JimH, who said, “but here we are with the first US fighter jet shot down in over 20 years,” which was incorrect, because we had three F-15E Strike Eagles shot down over Kuwait about 5 weeks ago.

I knew about the loss of the A-10 but it was not immediately confirmed as being “shot down”.
We lost 3 jets in Kuwait & then the F-15 E in Iran and then the A-10 (it was part of the rescue mission). We also lost a plane on the ground in Saudi Arabia (not shot down).
Keeping score of every plane shot down was not the point.
I was referring to JimH’s incorrect claim that the F-15E shot down in Iran was the “first US jet shot down in 20 years”.

The U.S. bombing campaign of Iran has likely weakened the resolve of a portion of the Iranian population and military, but not the entire Iranian population and military. I don’t even believe that breaking the resolve of every Iranian has even been considered or contemplated by our government.
Mince terms anyway you want. Air superiority is one of the many talking points used to sell the war. If people think it will be quick and easy, they are more likely to go along with it. The war, however has been neither.

Things are heating up for Swalwell’s campaign. But not in a good way.
A left wing blogger and attorney claims that she is working with a group of women who claim that ES was sexually inappropriate or sexually harrassed them. Included in this group are former staffers. She also claims that it is difficult for these women to speak openly about their trauma because of NDAs.
Swalwell’s campaign has denied anything inappropriate and smears the allegations as politically motivated.
How will this end? Will Swalwell release them from the NDAs allowing open discussion? Are these women looking for payola in exchange for their silence? Will the campaign be “Me Too-ed” without concrete evidence, because “victims must be believed”?
Who knows how this will play out, but it makes for a very interesting race. Surely, Tom Steyer’s campaign will create some biting ads to bombard us with.
My thoughts are: If these allegations are BS then the accusers deserve their punishment. If they are true, then I hope this vampire gets the stake.
