That’s because our gas taxes go to subsidizing public transportation, expanding passenger rail lines, bus lanes, bike lanes, and sidewalks, as well as keeping public transportation agencies afloat. They also go to expanding freight corridors between ports and rail yards, electric vehicle charging hubs and charging stations, wildlife crossings, and enhancing safety around schools.
These are great! They should have one to fix the roads. 🙂
