BART. Used to use it quite a bit. Last few times were terrible.

It’s a cesspool, vote No this November let them go extinct! I have had to use both BART and County Connection recently and they both blow! Dirty disgusting smells like piss and body odor. Ridership is lower than I have ever seen it and there is no reason to keep this shipwreck going just to fatten a few wallets!!!

I had to ride county connection, a homeless woman was on the bus with a mom and her daughter, the homeless woman was screaming gross awful things at her daughter, bus driver i thought wouldve kicked her off, but she rode until she got off. It was horrible experience. Felt so bad for the girl.

That is the fun part of public transportation. SF muni is the worst. I have seen muni drivers get attacked, verbally and physically, on many occasions.

the county connection is good because the driver get some control on who get on the bus and there aren’t many homeless and druggies (at least not yet) out here. But 7 years ago, I saw a young black flicked a cigarette at a white bus driver on the route 10 because the driver asked him to stop smoking on the bus.

Submitting price drop protection claims with my credit card issuer. Good luck finding a credit card with this benefit nowadays.

I think I deserve a little credit for not answering this question honestly, and for not hurting anyone’s feelings by naming names…. oh! and automatic transmissions too.

MS Windows. It is a piece of crap! I switched to Apple ecosystem 10 years ago and I have not look back to pc or android software.

Something people used all the time years ago they don’t use at all anymore: their brain!

Our landline. Out with an entire era. Never let us down – clear, non-interference; We loved it. For decades; Over time it started to crackle, had static. And we used it less, still paid for it; My better half advocated for getting rid of it. You know the rest of the story: use exclusively cell phones which may or may not work at crucial times, interference from other voices, abrupt call drops where no one knows what happened. And they tend to fall into the bottomless abyss between the front seats in the car. Ahhhhh, ain’t it grand?

BART – unreliable, still dirty & nosy, not nearly as safe as it was and too expensive

Cans of coffee and coffee filters. I had always thought those single-serve Keurig machines were stupid until I bought one, and now that’s all I use (McCafe is so good).

Common Sense!!!!!!!!!

Landline. The landline became ridiculous in price and shifted the number to an older smart phone I had on hand for $3 a month.

BlackBerry addiction
While servers were permanently shutdown in 2022,
the craze hit its peak around 2008-2010. It had 20%
of the smartphone market. One could not succeed
without one.

Cable TV.
Once I cut the cord, I’ve never looked back.
