Long fine print on the contract form. If they refuse to let me write down the verbal agreement on the contract, I walk away.

A “bait & switch”, internet price doesn’t match store price, and price on the shelf doesn’t ring up as the same price

Combining politics with the service or good that they sell. I can’t stand people pushing their politics on me!

When they are not upfront and honest about their prices. Just yesterday
I was looking at an item on eBay and the price was listed at X amount of
dollars, when I clicked on it the price jumped up to XX amount of dollars.
I’m thinking they are hoping no one will notice, but being the skeptic that
I am, I notice everything. Another thing I’ll pass on is when the fine print
is so small that a magnifying glass is needed to read it.

Prominent display of Pride flags. YOU ARE A BUSINESS, not a political or sexual operation. If you think someone’s private sexual preferences are important enough for you to fly a flag about it, then no thank you. You’re judgment is clouded and I’ll go elsewhere.
It is a marketing strategy. All are welcome – $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Checking with the BBB and find the business license is EXP. or revoked.
PLUS, the person using it, is not the person on the license.
Total red flag for me.

Corporate execs becoming like tyrants and thinking they are gods. Very bad problem in our world these days. They are doing things like raising prices just because they can even though there is no justification or need for it.
Dishonesty. Whether it’s unethical business practices or dishonest employees, etc. if you’re dishonest – that’s all she wrote.
When a multi-million dollar business helps their employees apply for Government benefits instead of paying them a living wage, I stop shopping there.

Know the place and time, commerce is not it.
Or, maybe it’s a marketing strategy? We live in the Bay Area…
