After a powerful weekend storm system brought heavy rain, gusty winds, and even isolated thunderstorms to the Bay Area, conditions across the East Bay are beginning to improve Monday, though a few lingering showers remain possible.
The storm, which delivered widespread rain and unstable weather across the region, dropped roughly 1 to 1.5 inches of rain in parts of the East Bay and surrounding areas, with some locations seeing even higher totals. Thunderstorms, small hail, and strong winds were also reported as the system moved through over the weekend.
By Monday, April 13, the weather is transitioning. Skies are expected to partially clear with periods of sunshine, though spotty showers could still pop up, especially earlier in the day. Temperatures will remain on the cool side, with highs in the mid-60s.
Forecasters say the shift marks the beginning of a drying trend after several days of unsettled weather. The same storm system that brought rain to the Bay Area is moving out of the region, allowing more stable conditions to take hold.
Looking ahead, the East Bay is expected to see a steady warm-up through the week, with sunshine returning and temperatures climbing into the 70s by Thursday and Friday.

Most of California’s Reservoirs
Yet I have seen the headlines claiming that the rainfall is too little too late as I have for the last 57 years!
Thank God, Newsom built all of those new reservoirs to catch and hold all of this rainfall.
Or else it would’ve just washed out all the homeless camps out delta then out the Golden Gate.
The people running this State are mentally incapable of making sound decisions for us, now is the time to rise above them, for the health/ sanity, and goodness of your loved ones.
