A new business opened in the Clayton Safeway shopping center called “Woof Gang”. It is a dog food/treat/supply store and they also do dog grooming. I only saw because I was going to breakfast at Country Waffles. The staff were really nice and I got a bunch of stuff for my dogs. All made in the USA, everything they sell in store is proprietary and seems good quality.. surprisingly priced no different than Petsmart. But, this is a mom and pop owned franchise location. Really encourage you to check it out if you are a dog lover like me.

Loud explosion near the Concord BART yard. Reminded me of when the transformer blew years ago.
Hope it was nothing bad.
It’s kinda of a good idea to turn your phone every so often, check messages
and texts. Family of a 91 year old woman became worried when they couldn’t
reach her. Ohio cops showed up knocked on her front door, no response.
Found her car in her unlocked garage and gained access to the house thru
an unlocked door to find her, happily playing video games.
Was no reported which video game she was playing.

I agree with good for her, as well as family concerns. Welfare checks are a win-win situation. What society in general needs to keep in mind is sometimes the elderly just want their space like the rest of us. They’ve paid their dues, and they don’t want to answer to anyone. I can’t say that I blame them.

When growing seedlings for vegetable garden you’ll sometimes get
Fungus gnats, while you’re watering or moving seedling container
very small black insects will fly up. Same goes for house plants.

Adult gnat lays eggs, three days to hatch, larval stage is for two
weeks, they munch on dead plant material, fungi and plant roots.
Adults live a week, all the while laving eggs.

As preventive measure we buy Mosquito Dunks, cut a leg off old
panty hose, drop a dunk in and secure panty hose leg to watering
can handle and drop dunk in. Use panty hose to contain the dunk
as it breaks. Active ingredient is Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis
or Bti. I’ll let watering can sit for 12 – 24 hours then water seedlings
 and transplants in our little green house.

Now there are thousands of dogs up for adoption that will probably wind up being euthanized.
