It’s never going to happen. The state made a mistake when they gave up plans of making Ygnacio Valley Road, Kirker Pass Road, and Railroad Avenue into a State Route back about 60 years ago.

It’s the same thing for most of Concord. Concord is a poorly planned city that never properly planned for the growth it has had. The answer of the Concord City Council is to build more housing with our current roadway network.
625pm, kirker pass still open eastbound towards pittsburg. I just drove thru it. Accident looked like a head on, 2 cars involved, massive front end damage. Multiple ambulances, police cars and fire trucks.
