Are you better or worse off now than before the war?
The world will be better off. History will confirm.
“History will judge” – what people say when things are going badly in the present.
W Bush was fond of saying it during the Iraq war disaster.
yoyohop,
.
Former President George W. Bush is still fond of saying, “I’m also very comfortable with the fact that it’s going to take a while for history to judge whether the decisions I made are consequential or not, and therefore I’m not too worried about it,” and “My attitude is, if they’re still writing biographies of the first guy, the 43rd guy doesnt need to worry about it.”
yawn . . . . .
Hey yoyo,
Where’d you get that 30 billion number? Did you just copy the wild mania if some other nut?
Well… I’ll be the first to admit, eliminating the threat Iran imposed so that it can no longer endanger every country on earth isn’t cheap.
Thank goodness we finally have a leader with the nads to do it.
The obama iran Policy
You got to love it, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been paying hate groups to inflame things so they can raise more money. Of course the Democrat machine was right behind it doing the same. And the mainstream media was happy at all up even further ! Thank God all the stuff is beginning to hit the daylight now! Erick Swalwell was finally exposed too!
More Daylight please!
( of course the looney liberals claim this is all Donald Trump made up)
The truth is coming out! I look forward to the next democrat, or liberal entity being exposed!

“Trump saved 8 AI-generated people”. What a clown.
At best this was a failed attempt to save face. He’s been unable to defeat a country that he’s been telling us he’s already defeated for weeks now. More likely the guy is in the early stages of dementia.
If a person can’t tell there is something a bit off with the AI generated fashion-model faces of the 8 “captives”, they should be in no position of authority – certainly not the person in charge of nuclear warfare. Time to pass the torch to JD.

Constitution’s Supremacy Clause.
.
CA state legislature and His Imperial Majesty, Emperor newsom
don’t let The Constitution stop them in their quest for free press,
influencing their shallow thinking voters and other democrat politicians.
.
This time,
“A California appeals court has blocked a move by Gov. Gavin Newsom
to force ICE agents to wear identification, saying that the state couldn’t
regulate actions by the federal government.
.
The three judge panel in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday
agreed with the Trump administration that the California law violated the
Constitution’s Supremacy Clause by interfering with federal officers’ duties.”
.
CA Globe story
.
Was that law a violation of their oath of office, “… that I will support and
defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the
State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will
bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States…”
.
“Enemies foreign or DOMESTIC …” Yet, you keep voting for them, and
then say nothing as they run this state into the ground . . .
Original G,
.
No, voting for the law didn’t “violate their oaths of office.” Unconstitutional laws passed by State Legislatures or Congress and signed into law by Governors or the President or become law as a result of a veto override are built into our system of government and is why we have the Judicial Branch of government to review and interpret the Constitution and the law being challenged.
.
If this in fact had “violated their oaths of office,” then every government employee is also guilty of “violating their oath of office,” as they’ve all taken an oath to the U.S. Constitution and/or State Constitution that they haven’t read and don’t understand. Look at how many government employees try to enforce “policy” as if it were the law, even when that policy is contrary to the law and the Constitution. The Constitution is thousands of pages long, as every Supreme Court decision has defined the U.S. Constitution and State Constitution. Unfortunately, the meaning of the U.S. Constitution and State Constitution aren’t what you or I believe the meaning to be, but what the courts determine the meaning to be, and our Legislatures challenge the Courts interpretation of the U.S. Constitution and State Constitution by passing laws that may be unconstitutional.
.
As a side note, if you’ve ever read the California Constitution you’d see how much of a mess it actually is with over 500 Amendments and that’s with over 40,000 words having been stripped out of the State Constitution in the 1960s and 1970s by the California Constitution Revision Commission and approved by voters.
The US Constitution is not thousands of pages long, it’s four pages,
written on parchment. When all 27 amendments are included it still is
not thousands of pages long. I do not know which supreme court you
are talking about, but it’s the US Supreme Court that interprets the
US Constitution. The California Constitution which is one of the longest
governing documents in the world, but also not thousands of pages,
is interpreted by the California Supreme Court, and can be amended
by voters and the state legislature. You are correct that the California
Constitution is a mess.
Dawg,
.
When you include all of the U.S. Supreme Court decisions that have interpreted and defined the U.S. Constitution, then it’s thousands of pages long. The U.S. Government Publishing Office used to sell a copy of that version of the Constitution, and perhaps they may still do so. If you believe that every government employee who takes an oath to the U.S. Constitution is only taking an oath to the original text of the Constitution and its 27 Amendments, then you’re saying they’ve taken an oath to their personal interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, which then means the U.S. Constitution means everything and nothing at the same time.
.
The same is true for the California State Constitution, its 500+ Amendments, and the decisions of the California Supreme Court. The California Supreme Court can and has expanded rights beyond that of the U.S. Constitution and the federal courts can also review the decisions made by the state courts to ensure they don’t conflict with the U.S. Constitution.

Original G,
.
I’m not disputing that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled against Governor Newsom on some Constitutional matters, I mearly stated that dealing with unconstitutional acts are built into our system of government.
Judicial Branch is supposed to act as the Adult in the room, when executive
and/or legislative branches do something stupid. Blue states have made it
a habit of passing into law whatever knee jerk stupidity that matches their
party line.
Original G,
.
The Judicial Branch of government is supposed to act as impartial arbitrors of the Constitution and the law, but they don’t.
.
Many states, both “blue” and “red,” intentionally inact laws that they know are unconstitutional and that they know will be overturned, for no other reason than to make it look like they’re fighting against the party in power, that they can then use to fundraise off of. They get to fundraise off of passing the unconstitutional law and they get to fundraise off of the law being overturned for being unconstitutional.
Hi I’m Tom Steyer,
I’ve spent a 132 million trying to buy the governors office and still not ahead in the polls. How much do you want me to spend.
bobo,
.
Tom Steyer also spent over $200 million in his quest to get the 2020 Democratic Party Presidential Nomination and didn’t get any delegates and received fewer than 259,000 votes in the primaries/caucuses.
.
To be fair, the $132 million that Tom Steyer has spent in the 2026 California Governors race has gotten him up to an average of about 15% support in the average of recent polls, which is about 4%-5% above the next closest Democrat running, Katie Porter, who’s polling at an average of 10%-11%. Unfortunately for Tom Steyer, that puts him at an about equal polling average as Republican Chad Bianco and behind Republican Steve Hilton. The good news for Tom Steyer is that he’s polling ahead of 58 other candidates who’ll appear on the 2026 primary ballot.
“But me paying more taxes is not the answer” says Billionaire Tom Steyer

Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
I watched the candidate forum and saw Tom Steyer’s comments live. Unfortunately, the 6 candidates invited to this candidate forum were trying to play it safe and they all came across as duds. At this point I’m voting for Steve Hilton, but that could still change over the next 39 days.
Dr. Jellyfinger,
.
I watched the candidate forum/debate last night. It was better than the last one, but no standouts. At least they didn’t come across as duds like they did in the last one. It’s looking like Steve Hilton and Xavier Becerra will be the two to make it out of the primary, and unfortunately, Xavier Becerra will be the next Governor of California.
.
I couldn’t believe that former Congresswoman Katie Porter said that California needs more people to move here.
Can a Billionaire, BUY a governorship ? ? ? ? ?
.
Are California voters really that dumb ? ?
Original G,
.
California voters said no to Republican Michael Huffington trying to buy a U.S. Senate seat in 1994, reelecting Senator Diane Emile Goldman Berman Feinstein Blum instead, by about 160,000 votes. However, in 1992, the voters of California’s 22nd Congressional District did allow Michael Huffington to buy his House seat, with what was then the most expensive House race in history. California voters are likely to say no to Tom Steyer buying the Governorship of California this year too.
Answers: Probably and/or Apparently. (replies can be used…interchangeably)
That’s not even a question, anymore. They’ve proven it(their stupidity) by electing the self serving narcissist actor Greasy Gaven.
AB 2624 bill. The Privacy for Immigration Support Services providers. This bill would create privacy protection for immigration support providers. It would make it illegal (funny) to use an image of any of these people on social media and hide their addresses. This bill would actually silence independent journalists and shield taxpayer-funded organizations from public scrutiny. The bill was written by Assembly member Mia Bonta! That’s the wife of State Attorney General Rob Bonta!! You can’t make this up. Oh…how the left hates anyone looking into their corrupt practices. Where is Adam Schiff?

Captain Bebops,

While I oppose the use of these camera systems, thankfully they won’t be statewide for now, they’ll be limited to the cities of Glendale, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose for the next 68 months, until this pilot program ends and our corrupt State Legislature will make this program permanent throughout the state, the bad news is that the City of Concord is already planning on acquiring these camera systems when the pilot program ends on December 31, 2031. This pilot program has absolutely nothing to do with “safety” and has everything to do with “revenue.” This is the opening of another front on California’s declared “War on Cars.”
Another money grab is the smog tests. Some states including my home state of Washington have done away with them. I think right now California is hoping enough older cars will fail pushing people into EVs. Here’s the thing, you can pass the idle emissions test yet if the computer check shows catalyst converter incomplete then it fails. That’s about the only thing that California cares about on that test. Terrible given the gas prices that people are out there going nowhere in particular just to get that on board computer to say the catalyst test is complete.
.
Other states have dropped that test too or just test in metropolitan areas. People who drive locally like to the store or gym may not exercise the car enough to pass. Time for California to evaluate this but the ideologues believe that California should lead the country in wasting people’s money. Here’s the list of what all the states do for emissions testing:

“Lunatic” is correct!

Not exactly a professional assassin.
With party barkers like Mark De Saulnier urging the blue loonies on in town hall meetings with titles like “Fighting Back Against Trump” & “America’s Crisis Under Republican Leadership” we will very likely see more would be “hit men” attempting to become Socialist Democrat heroes by killing the President.
I wonder what the Hilton Hotel is doing with all the leftover food?
Whadaya know! I answered my own question….
Food was all donated (2600 dinners) to shelters for abused women & children.

This is limited to the cities of Glendale, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose until the pilot program ends in 68 months.
.
The fine starts at $100.00. You can pay $25.00 to appeal the fine. If you’re considered to be “indigent” by the State of California or are on certain government programs, the fine then qualifies for a reduced fine and/or payments. This pilot program doesn’t require a facial image, but only the rear license plate, as it fines the vehicle, not the traveler or the driver.

You did however get it right on this being a revenue generator. This has absolutely nothing to do with safety.
