Cowellian’s first.
Happy Friday.
Old one: My wife and I have made the difficult decision that we don’t want children. If anyone does, please leave your contact information and we can drop them off tomorrow.
Yesterday was the 109th anniversary of The Great Concord Fire of 1917 which destroyed part of downtown Concord on Salvio St.

California high speed rail is now projected to cost $231 billion.
I wonder how many airfares SF to LA $231 Billion would buy?
Let’s just break this down… there’s just under 40 million people living in California.
$231 billion ÷ 40 million = $5775 per person.
The average airfare from San Francisco to Los Angeles is typically around $168 for round-trip flights…. so that comes to approximately 34 round trip tickets for everyone.
Why don’t we just provide free airfare for people who actually want to go there?
It would be faster & cheaper.
I wonder…. by the time the project is completed and paid for will people still even use trains?
