An apartment fire in Concord on Tuesday morning displaced four adults and a child, a spokesperson for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.
The one-alarm fire was reported at 9:44 a.m. on the second floor of a building on Frisbie Court, located off of the Monument Boulevard thoroughfare, fire district spokesperson Lauren Ono said.
Firefighters responded and extinguished the fire within about 15 minutes with no injuries reported, Ono said. The five displaced residents were assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire was not immediately determined, she said.
Thanks to Jr Duarte Jiminez for the photo.
Very fortunate that a majority of the apparatus
were on another reported structure fire when this
call came in. The first unit advised of a column of
smoke one block out and reported a working fire
upon arrival.
For those of us map challenged.
¡Cena quemada!
Frisbie Court is one of the worst streets in Concord. The entire street of rundown apartments needs to be torn down and rebuilt.
