Still open. 🙂

Guadalajara Grill hasn’t been the same since they moved from their hole-in-the wall original location to their stand-alone building. We rarely go there.

I’ve patronized them in both places, and the shredded chicken enchiladas are as good as they ever were. And I know this because it’s the only dish I’ve ever ordered from them. Perhaps the rest of their menu has gone downhill, I really wouldn’t know about that, but not their shredded chicken enchiladas. And you still get free chips and salsa.

I second Los panchos.
Been going for multiple decades.
I now prefer the taco salad

El Yahualica Taco’s in Concord, favorite is Wet Chicken Burrito and Grilled Shrimp Appetizer.

My 2 boys pick it over Chipolte.

I always liked CC Ole’s before they closed, but it was not necessarily a go-to
restaurant since there are many good ones to choose from. One of my faves
is a little hole-in-the-wall on 22nd Street in the City’s Mission District. The food
there has not been Americanized, and as a result it has the same flavor and
quality as the food I’ve had in Mexico. I don’t necessarily have a favorite dish,
I usually order whatever seems appealing to me at the time.

There is no way this is a serious post when Monument Blvd exists. El Molino, Tacos El Patron and many, many more laugh at you.

Tacos el patron sucks , they employ child labor because they can’t afford babysitters , had there 5 year old deliver my takeout ! I left a yelp and they tried to hide it . Last week their lowlife family was at cantina jacks a way better professional establishment and got 86 for being too drunk and acting like they were tony Montana ! Tacos patron is garbage in public and they run they business even worse

A lot of people know those places define mid, which is at good as it gets around here. There is not a high level, much less slightly elevated, Mexican food experience in these parts. Molino especially, a one trick pony with average at best food.

So many Mexican restaurants today have linoleum floors, blasting music, counter, service, hard tables and chairs. I miss El Torito(s), Celia(s) and similar full service Mexican restaurants which had comfortable interiors; carpet, booths, soothing lighting and music, waitresses & margaritas.

I loved CC Ole’s, and my favorite was their seafood chimichanga.

Now, I’d be willing to trade one of our Cracker Barrels for any decent Mexican restaurant in Claycord. Here, they call it authentic Mexican if they drown everything in queso to hide how bland the food is.

Taco bell. I recommend the cheese roll-up with a large Baja Blast.

Tijuana Joe’s on University Avenue 30 years ago. Long since gone.

We used to always go to Las Montanas (I think that is what it was called), in the Park and Shop. They shut down for a bit, and when they returned, they were different. Since then, I have not found a good replacement, and none of the mentions posted before me really piqued my interest.
