What I miss the most about the 90s is a governor who was anti-illegal
invaders, pro business, and tough on crime. That governor was Pete
Wilson. Governor Wilson cut spending and removed unnecessary
regulations which attracted more businesses to California. He brought
the state out of a recession, and turned the deficit into a $17 billion surplus.
He was also responsible for Prop 187 which restricted illegal invaders
from obtaining free public education and non-emergency health care.
The bill mandated that public schools and health care officials report
illegal invaders to state and federal authorities. Pete also signed into
law “the three strikes bill.”

America Online is still here as AOL and is a subsidiary….had the original dial-up and my e-mail address still ends in @aol.com. Some have called me a dinosaur; however, I’ve never seen the need to change my address. I also have a classic car stereo.
The money. 😁
That was a decade where I made some good money.
I bought my first cellphone in 1993 and still have it.

First – it was when there was accountability and responsibility in people – no “me first” self entitlement mentality…. Second – the (large) company I worked for was great – they had your back, it was easy to give 110% you know you were appreciated – and they paid pretty well ….. then they let themselves get bought out by a less than above board competitor.

Miss gatherings with a group of Quiltmaker Ladies, … so many have moved away.
There were about 18 of us, and we would gather once a month.
Creative times, and watching kids growing up.

We used to be able to repair things when they wore out or broke. A large part of that is because stuff was made by assembling easy to understand components that you could get from a local parts store.
