Might not be easier, but definately a shorter list … which city does represent humanity?
Detroit, Michigan. The once thriving US city has fallen so far into
decline, that it’s nearly impossible for it to ever recover. In its heyday
it had a population of well over 150 million and was dominant in the
automotive industry. Being a city with one of the highest crime rates
in the US, and the decline in manufacturing, the city has fallen into a
state of decay with a considerable amount of property and structural
deterioration, turning whole neighborhoods into ghost towns with
abandoned and decaying homes and boarded up windows.

Detroit’s population was at a high of 1.85 million in 1950 and has declined every decade through the 2020 census, but its population has supposedly increased by 10,000 people since the 2020 census. It’s a shame that so many blocks of housing had to be torn down.

I’d also add Gary, Indiana to the list.

Roswell, New Mexico on the other hand, might just be a good place to represent humanity.

In Horden, England, the town has put stickers of doors and windows on the abandoned buildings boarded-up doors and windows to make them appear to be occupied.

It reminds me of North Korea where they have built entire fake cities.
They are propaganda cities constructed to create a false perception of
prosperity. Kijong-dong is one of them, it’s located along the DMZ.

It’s easy to find a city that is not worthy.
Find a city that is worthy.
Minneapolis… perhaps all of Minn… Portland is very close..
Chilmark on Martha’s Vineyard. If aliens show up, they will be immediately transported to a military base.
