ConFire and Cal Fire are responding to a vegetation fire near Pepperridge Way and Butternut Way, west of Mitchell Canyon Rd, in Concord. Please avoid the area. The back deck of a house is on fire. Crews are getting water on it. Access to the main body of the vegetation fire is difficult. Copter1 is also responding. Multiple structures are threatened. The fire is currently 2 acres.

Update: Containment has been called and crews are switching to mop up operations. Forward progress has been stopped.

Not good, glad they’re doing air drops.
I’ve got a very dry Lime Ridge behind me that went up last summer.
Stay safe everyone. Thank you firefighters.

This was scary. Right next to our neighborhood and no news coverage.

Very close to my parents house.
I’m surprised that I didn’t get a call from them. Great to hear thatthey got it handled quickly.

Good job and thank you firefighters! I don’t mind my taxes going to all the equipment they need!

I’m hoping that people cut back on the fireworks as we approach July 4. The grass is already very dry and fire conditions will only get worse over the next 6 weeks.

The problem is those people don’t care, it won’t stop them unfortunately!!!
