ConFire and Cal Fire are responding to multiple reports of a vegetation fire near Kirker Pass Rd and Myrtle Dr, in Concord.
Update: The first unit on scene reports roughly 100 feet of grass and trees on fire. One unit can handle.
Please avoid the area.

Wise decision, chopper can make a 300 gallon drop long before CALFire aircraft
could be on scene. Equipped with snorkel can dip it into reservoir, lake or
swimming poll and suck up another 300 gallons.

There have been several little kids and their parents who ride dirt bikes in that area multiple times a week as well as dump couches there to sit on as well. I was wondering when that grass would start on fire, not sure if they own the land or it just trespassing. Curious if the dirt bikers were out there previous to this fire……
