People will now be able to view superior court documents in Contra Costa County at multiple public viewing locations, court officials announced Tuesday. The Contra Costa County Superior Court system has installed “public viewing stations” at all court locations, according to the announcement. Anyone can now view electronic court records, including pleadings, orders and other documents, and can print those documents at the same locations. Juvenile criminal records will only be available at the Walnut Creek courthouse and only for people who are legally entitled to review them. Confidential and sealed records will not be available. Viewing records is free, but there is a 50 cent-per-page fee to print documents. Court staff may limit the amount of time each person can spend on a kiosk to ensure the service is available to as many people as possible.
