It’s time to officially ring the alarm on: DATA CENTERS. Hopefully everyone is following what’s going on in Lake Tahoe. If you haven’t heard, here’s the gist of one of the biggest stories of the week: Lake Tahoe’s main power supplier plans to end a long-standing electricity deal in 2027…so they can devote all their power to a new data center! HOPEFULLY YOU CAN SEE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE. To make matters worse, BlackRock CEO/ World Economic Forum co-chair Larry Fink said earlier this week that the the funding for future data centers will come from the PRIVATE SECTOR, WHICH MEANS YOUR SAVINGS AND 401K ACCOUNTS. To make matters even worse, the “powers that be” are already getting ahead of all the public blowback that will surely come with future data centers… meaning you will be labeled a DOMESTIC TERRORIST for simply criticizing or planning a peaceful protest against a data center. Xi Jing Ping and the CCP will then control all the data in the US and be able to monitor every foot step and every word. Maybe, just maybe, the US should build more nuclear power plants to meet the future needs for energy, economic growth and security.

This time big oil has it right – Newsom complaining about Chevron’s signs saying Sacto is a major contributor to CA gas pricing higher than the rest of the country – and Newsom saying to boycott Chevron … sure Chevron (and others) are part of the problem but so is Sacto

I Believe Chevron started their ad campaign, expecting newsom to have a knee
jerk reaction. His knee jerk reaction, is understandable considering intelligence
is just this side of a rock.
While Chevron is pointing one finger at Newsom saying “it’s HIS fault”, Chevron is using a finger on their other hand to turn up the prices on their own pumps. Around me, Chevron is running 30 cents or more per gallon higher than top competing stations such as Shell.
That’s why I say Sacto and big oil are both at fault
It is Chevron’s prerogative to price it’s gasoline at whatever it chooses. It is your prerogative to buy your gasoline at a cheaper competitor. If Chevron is charging too much for it’s gasoline, then savvy consumers will fill up elsewhere. Chevron can then either keep losing customers or lower it’s prices to compete.
This is capitalism in a nutshell.

Why is our government granting citizenship to individuals who can’t speak English?
A US Citizen tests requires speaking, reading and writing basic English, unless there is a medical exemption. States granting drivers licenses (and enabling them to vote) in so many languages. needs to stop. The policy to grant anyone of age a drivers license ( That drivers test is very easy), and enable them to vote (like California and many states did) was to pad the votes for democrats.

We have 37 more days of vote counting to go, but it’s irrelevant, because last night California voters decided that Democrat Xavier Becerra will be the next Governor of California. The ballot for Governor of California had 24 Democrats running who captured about 57% of the vote, while the 12 Republicans captured about 40% of the vote. The highest percentage of votes received by Republicans in statewide elections was in the race for California Attorney General where candidate Michael E. Gates over-performed other statewide Republican candidates with 42.7% of the vote. Democrats will again win all statewide races in California in the November general election.

No, I don’t think all of the voters who voted for the other 23 Democrats will automatically vote for former Secretary Xavier Becerra in November, I expect many more Democrats who didn’t vote in the primary to vote for him in the general election. In a typical California gubernatorial general election, the Democrat receives about 60% +/-5% of the vote and the Republican receives about 40% +/-5% of the vote, especially since we transitioned to a top-two general election system. I see absolutely nothing that tells me this year will be anything different, and I voted for Steve Hilton yesterday.

At this point, there’s absolutely no reason to believe that former Secretary Xavier Becerra will be indicted. The federal government prosecutors view him as the victim of the crime. To believe that he’s going to be indicted is a wish, a pipe dream, a conspiracy theory at this point.

If one or more of those involved in the theft of campaign funds “cuts a deal and talks,” which leads to an indictment, then he’ll drop out of the race and the California Democratic Party will nominate another candidate to take his place. It really changes nothing.

The results of the primary show that the majority of California voters don’t want a change in party in statewide offices, they don’t want a Republican anywhere near California’s line of succession.

Just because almost 19,000 California voters chose to vote for former Congressman Eric Swalwell for governor doesn’t make them “low information voters,” it could be that he was their protest vote or that his actions didn’t bother them, just as similar claims were made against Donald Trump in 2015/16, former Vice President Joe Biden in 2019/20, and Governor Bill Clinton in 1991/92 and during his presidency, yet, people still voted for them.
Sure, chances are it isn’t ignorance… it could just be plain old stupidity.

I have to agree with Dr. J on this one. 16,000 votes for Swalwell was not a protest vote. It was a vote by 15,999 stupid people who voted for the one guy with a (D) who’s name they recognized. The missing vote was Swalwell’s own.
Not low info voters. More like no info voters. Hopefully they will continue to vote for Swalwell in the runoff.
