S-t, 40+ mins of flying over my head? I can’t work!:) Also, looks like very expensive search. Your tax money at work.
Alex,
.
They had the drones out flying around too.
Good they should use what ever they have at their disposal to arrest the criminal that is exactly how I would like tax dollars spent on law enforcement. Put on some noise cancelling headphones if you are bothered and since you work remotely from home.
Sure wish we could listen to the local police calls.
I can’t help but wonder what the Concord PD is hiding from the citizens who pay for the service.
The California Attorney General has issued guidelines requiring law enforcement agencies to ensure that personally identifiable information obtained from the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) is not broadcast over unsecured radio channels. Agencies must either encrypt their radio transmissions or develop policies to protect sensitive information from being shared publicly. The Concord Police Chief doesn’t believe in accountability and transparency and he clearly doesn’t believe his officers are capable of following any policies the department could’ve come up with, so, he took the easy way out, he opted to encrypt rather than develop policies.
Abe, This is the first step to Secret Police. Some people know them by other names like Gestapo, KGB or Stasi. If anybody doesn’t believe me, look up “Secret Police”.
I understand the police arrested a man found hiding in the backyard of a house on Falcon Drive.
What are those concrete things sitting in the area where a sidewalk would be?
FYI – the suspect has been arrested. From Concord PD:
.
Theft Suspects Arrested After Fleeing from Officers.
.
Concord, CA — On June 3, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Concord Police officers responded to a report of a theft at the Ulta Beauty store located at the Willows Shopping Center.
.
Two male subjects reportedly entered the store and stole a large amount of fragrances. The subjects exited the store and left the area in a silver sedan.
.
CPD officers located the suspects on foot in the area of Thunderbird Drive and Cardinal Drive.
.
One subject was detained immediately while the other jumped a fence into a backyard. Officers conducted a yard-to-yard search for the second subject, who was later located and taken into custody.
.
The stolen merchandise was recovered.
All they had to do was follow the scent!
Perp description:
”a subject”.
Well that narrows it down.
