Aaron McAlister was officially sworn in as Fire Chief of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District during a ceremony attended by family, friends, county officials, community partners and members of the fire service. During the event, McAlister took the oath of office and formally assumed the role of leading the district, which provides fire protection and emergency services throughout much of Contra Costa County.
McAlister brings decades of experience in the fire service to the position. County officials and members of the firefighting community recognized his leadership and commitment to public service during the ceremony. The swearing-in marks the beginning of McAlister’s tenure as chief of the district, commonly known as ConFire.
