Concord Police made dozens of arrests during the week of May 27 through June 2, including cases involving robbery, assault with a firearm, domestic violence, DUI offenses, drug possession and repeat theft suspects. Among the most serious arrests was a 38-year-old Concord man who was arrested May 30 on suspicion of robbery, assault with a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public and several related charges following an incident on Concord Avenue. Police also arrested a 37-year-old woman on May 31 on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury, hit-and-run resulting in injury, and child cruelty. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Woodhaven Lane.
Several domestic violence-related arrests were reported during the week. Cases included allegations of corporal injury to a spouse or dating partner, false imprisonment, battery involving a spouse or dating partner, and violation of a court order related to domestic violence.
Police also made multiple DUI arrests throughout the city, including cases on Willow Pass Road, Olivera Road, Interstate 680, and other locations. One arrest involved a suspect carrying a concealed dirk or dagger while allegedly driving under the influence.
Drug-related arrests remained common, with officers making numerous arrests for possession of controlled substances, narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Several of those arrests were accompanied by probation violations, outstanding warrants or possession of stolen property allegations.
The Concord Police Department’s burglary report showed nine reported shoplifting incidents during the week, most occurring at retail businesses near Sunvalley Shopping Center and the Diamond Boulevard corridor. No residential or commercial burglary entries were listed in the report.
Other notable arrests included assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, child cruelty, carrying a loaded firearm, grand theft, receiving stolen property and numerous warrant arrests.
Glad to see that the law is being enforced but let’s make sure to put the criminals where they belong which is locked up and away from society!

Open up the books Concord, let us taxpayers see what is really happening in the department, seeing that it is paid for with our hard earned money.
Remember that you couldn’t pay your officers, and admin. without our tax money.
