Update: The fire has finally been knocked down and crews are switching to overhaul operations.

Update: At the one hour mark, there is still heavy, stubborn fire, in the back of the building, due to a large section of the roof which collapsed on top of burning material.

Update: The firefight is ongoing. There is a concern that embers may start a vegetation fire, behind the structure. Second alarm called.

Update: This is a working fire.

Update: The first unit on scene reports heavy smoke and flames from a single story “tilt up” type commercial structure.

ConFire is responding to a commercial structure fire on Howe Rd near Toyon St, in Martinez.

Please avoid the area.

Howe Road near Toyon Street.

Engine 12 would have been nice to have last night.
Industrial grow house was mentioned at one point.
I was wondering if that tilt up might come down onto
the engine.
What a long night
