Happy Friday to all the wonderful citizens in the City of Claycord. This is a post with no subject, you can talk about whatever you want. If breaking news happens (such as a shooting, earthquake, etc.), or you hear about something newsworthy, feel free to post it here.

Cowellian’s first.
I caught Amazon’s Alexa in a lie. Then it tried to gaslight me. I tried to re-order laundry soap on Amazon that I had purchased previously. I chose this brand (Molly’s Suds) because it was half the price of a comparable soap sold locally. (Charlie’s Soap) I asked Alexa why the price doubled and it said I had purchased it at that price 3 times before. I would not have done that because adding the cost of shipping would result in a higher cost than buying locally.
I asked ChatGPT to list the GDP and principal exports of Botswana, which it did. Then I asked it to provide references for this information and it told me it could not do that. So I checked, and all the information was wrong. AI just made it up on the spot. Such deception is routine, apparently.
You don’t have Amazon Prime?
You have to do your own research, otherwise you’re setting yourself up to be lied to. It’s the same reason we were taught to “look it up in the dictionary and the phone book.” Our parents were teaching us not to be mentally lazy. The same rules apply today.
Tomatoes the Charles Wilber way.
.
His ideal plant has 18 branches.
The lower 6 branches are allowed to split once for a total of 12 branches.
Top two branches are allowed to split three ways each for a total of 6 branches.
As each branch develops, it is led to the outside of the cage and trained to
grow upward. Suckers that grow on the 18 branches should be pinched off
if the branch is weak. He advocates pinching suckers off before they reach
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 in. long.
