You must stay indoors all day. 😄
California weather was pretty normal up until 2020. Now it is really messed up. Certainly a bid deal.
There are certainly things that aren’t a big deal but those are generally talked about on other forums (yawn)…

Climate Change!
I read that a lady in Walnut Creek just voted yes to all new taxes so that we can all fight climate change in California.
Politics. Complaining is a waste of time and energy. In some cases it
can be a major cause of anger, animosity, and depression, and have a
negative impact on a person’s health. Instead of dwelling on matters and
events that we have no control over, we can appreciate what life has to
offer that can improve our daily reality.
And kwitchyerbellyakin!
I’ve converted several people over to the Red Team.
Pointing out the hypocrisy of the Blue Team and their screwed up priorities is effective on people who have not yet gone completely left wing zombie.
If they haven’t gotten to the point where they close their eyes & plug their ears with their fingers and chant nahnahnahnahnahnahnahnah! as loud as they can, their is still hope for salvation.
I like to convert people to treating policy like chemistry. Do what is needed and sensible regardless of the political position. And most sane people know that money doesn’t grow on trees… at least yet.
Those matters and events only affect a persons quality of life if they
allow it to affect their quality of life. We are in charge of our own destiny,
which means we have the ability to make choices, and learn from
those choices, and rather than blaming external circumstances, we can
consciously build the future we desire. This means instead of seeing
ourselves as a victim of circumstances, we acknowledge that while
we cannot control everything that happens, we have absolute control
over how we respond.

The wifi is slow, the person in the car in front of me is going too slow. My food isn’t here yet, my dentist is making me wait 4 minutes. Often, people (including me) complain about things not happening right away or fast enough, when it really doesn’t matter much.

I believe most people in California are not complaining enough about our weather and global warming. That’s actually not a big deal? I am the 5th generation from farmers and ranchers in this county! We have seen the changes! 16 years ago, I was not having to house my chickens with AC, misters, and fans like today. But apparently that is not a big deal!
Guido,
.
So, you have the records from your ancestors who farmed and ranched in Contra Costa County that show how many chickens they lost due to heat related deaths? Are you really having to house you chickens with air conditioning, misters, and fans, or are you choosing to do that? None of my neighbors are having to use air conditioning, misters, or fans for their chickens and they haven’t been experiencing heat related deaths of their chickens either.
Weather
The weather. California has great weather, one of the best things about our state.

Problem is those matters and events are increasing affecting our quality of life.

Your chickens, and PG&E appreciate you!!!
Duck…thanks for your support!
Approximately 3.7 million households in California do not have air conditioning… they should be so lucky as your chickens.
BTW – Average temperatures in Ca. have risen over 2° in the past 125 years! Good luck!
