Assaults, DUIs And Burglaries Keep Concord Police Busy During Crime-Filled Week

The Concord Police Department reported dozens of arrests and several burglaries during the week of June 3 through June 9, according to the department’s weekly press reports.

Among the most notable cases were multiple arrests connected to organized retail theft, grand theft shoplifting, and stolen property investigations. On June 7, a 48-year-old woman was arrested at Sunvalley Shopping Center on suspicion of grand theft shoplifting, possessing stolen property, possessing a controlled substance, and theft involving access card information.

Police also made several arrests related to assaults and domestic violence. On June 5, multiple suspects were arrested in connection with an assault with a deadly weapon investigation on Toyon Drive. Additional assault arrests occurred on Treat Boulevard, Monument Boulevard, and other locations throughout the city.

Driving under the influence remained a recurring issue during the week, with several DUI arrests reported on Clayton Road, Monument Boulevard, Market Street, and other roadways.

The arrest log also included numerous cases involving controlled substances, outstanding warrants, vandalism, weapons violations, and disorderly conduct. One arrest on June 4 involved a 19-year-old suspect accused of exhibiting a firearm and illegally possessing both a concealed weapon and live ammunition.

In the burglary report, Concord police documented two residential burglaries during the reporting period, one on Humphrey Drive and another on Third Street. Several shoplifting incidents were also reported at businesses along the Diamond Boulevard retail corridor and on Olivera Road. Police also reported arrests connected to vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, organized retail theft, and multiple felony and misdemeanor warrant cases throughout the city.
