What’s something you’ve changed your mind on in the last 10 years?
What would you replace the naval weapons station with ???
I’m wondering IF the Concord City Officials and Decision Makers are satisfied with the restriping and removing lanes and on Concord Blvd between Denkinger and Port Chicago….It use to be two lanes and an easy straight shot…Now, a single lane floats back and forth, to stay aligned. Also wondering why, at at Safeway by the Temple, the center white plastic poles are a terrible distraction, designed, I’m guessing to protect pedestrians. I think it’s an accident waiting to happen as one can’t see well around the poles clearly for persons crossing the street.
(I’m not going to mention the timing of the lights going north and south at willow pass to port chicago and clayton road to concord blvd…..That’s a big mess.)
Crookedest straight road I’ve ever seen.
Bob,
.
And why aren’t all of the vehicle lanes all the same width?
iKrissy,
.
State law required the addition of the underused and unused bike lane when the roadway was repaved. It’s part of California’s “Complete Streets” law. Just wait for the protected bike lanes coming to Galindo Street between Salvio Street and Clayton Road.
This is all being done under the “Sustainable Cities” Garbage that Concord got involved in. Yes, the ones pushing the sustainability crap want us all riding Bikes or Buses.
Is “climate change” real and caused by human growth & activities? If it is, has it gone too far to be reversible?
If you could sit down and have a conversation with one historical person,
who would pick and why?
Do you find it disturbing that nowhere in the 1958 Bobby Darin hit “Splish Splash” does he mention putting on clothes before joining the dance party downstairs?
That’s hilarious! What’s even more disturbing is that he does mention putting on his dancing shoes….but you’re right…no clothes. Just dancing in shoes only. Well, there’s another song I can never hear again. Thanks Bob.
“I went and put my dancin’ shoes on”

Although classified as footwear shoes are worn on the body and are therefore apparel.
Also, at some point before jumping back into the tub he had a towel wrapped around him though no explanation is given as to whether he was still wrapped in a towel (which would have been totally soaked and fallen off anyway) when he joined the dancing fully clothed people…. so he must have been naked, except for shoes.

Yes! Very disturbing…
tho “Mack the Knife” is really one of Bobby’s very most demented hits.
Hold on there Dr Jellyfinger, what makes you think the dancing people
were fully clothed?
After thorough online investigation I was unable to come up with an answer as to the state of dress the party goers were in, tho no mention was made of them in the tub so I’m pretty sure they were at least clothed before the party.
The song was written by Murray Kaufman aka Murray the K or The fifth Beatle who died in 1982 so getting the real story on Splish Splash will not be easy.
I am attempting to contact a medium (like Allison DuBois) to assist me and once I get started on something like this I become obsessed with it and can’t quit until I get the answer.
After I’m put in contact with Murray I’ll post my findings.
What would be the most productive path forward outside of politics that would make all our lives better?
Please don’t get me wrong… I think we are all blessed to live in this time (doesn’t mater race color or creed) but as we are always looking for better this question will always be there

People like the guy in the video are pessimists. Pessimists focus on the
flaws and mistakes of others. They view the world as a disaster, not
understanding that nothing has changed. There has always been disorder,
confusion, and random chaotic events. The only thing that changed is we
are getting more information through television, the internet, and social
media. We have become more aware of how unpredictable the world can be.
All this unpleasantness has a negative connotation and the potential to disrupt
a person’s expectations, hope, and mental well-being. True happiness comes
from within, happiness and success are determined by our choices, actions,
and most importantly our attitude… Life is great.
How many countries have you been to, and which one is your favorite? If the United States is your favorite, which one is your second favorite?
Out of the 197 countries the US recognizes, we’ve been to 54, and we’re not done! Besides the US, I’m going with Italy, Germany, France and Switzerland (top five).
Ridiculously Bright LED headlights………what is everyone doing to to deal with being blinded by oncoming vehicles?
Can you describe an elderly friend, relative or colleague who inspires you with their energy, optimism, and can-do spirit? What is the source of their resilience and love of life, maybe in spite of setbacks and losses?
What just awful bad movie (B-movie, for example) cannot you not stop watching over and over? Add why, if you care/dare…
What business in the Claycord area would you just like to mention, either because it has been around forever, or the people who run it are worth “promoting” because they are so nice?
