An injury collision occurred this morning on Concord Ave. in Concord. Details of the crash are unclear, but witnesses on scene say one vehicle ran the red light, causing the collision.

i hope the red light runner is happy they ran the light all because they were too impatient. People drive like crazy people these days.

Is Tesla the modern day Lexus? 😁 I’m sure some of those owners think themselves “special”. I’m now an owner of a hybrid which is 1/2 EV. I have to note that it accelerates faster than a regular gas auto. Takes a little to get used to and no I’m not a red light runner.
My wife drives a tesla model y and she is the opposite of what you describe. She is extremely cautious and probably errs on the side of stopping too early on a yellow light rather than possibly run a red. Perhaps you are just having a base rate fallacy – because there are a lot of Teslas around here and you see them more often you assume they are more prone to doing it.
I just see a LOT of cars running red lights (especially on left hand turns).

Do Teslas even have turn signals?
Can tell when computer is driving a Tesla, turn signals work.
Even if you have a green light, slow down, look both ways, and proceed
with caution when driving through an intersection. Never assume or trust
other drivers to do the right thing. There are people not paying attention,
eating, looking at their phone, reading a book, doing their nails and makeup,
yelling at the kids, looking for something that dropped on the floor, having a
heart attack, et cetera. There’s even the possibility of a malfunctioning
autonomous vehicle running a red light.
I wonder how traffic engineers can design for people who slow down at green lights and look both ways? I wonder if people following said person react by slowing further because of the unexpected slow down on green lights? I wonder how many cars it would take to bring traffic to a standstill at a green light? I wonder if this is a possible reason people get upset and drive aggressively? I wonder if someone who is so scared of getting hit by someone doing something crazy can possibly cover every scenario? I wonder why that person would even want to take the risk? I wonder why they don’t stay at home and off the deathtrap streets?
That would require common sense.

Something big going on in that intersection yesterday and today.
Yesterday I think a person was struck and killed or badly injured in that area and now this crazy accident today.
Yeah, people die or are permanently injured all the time due to sheer ignorance.
Yep they think flesh is mightier than metal, along time ago a very smart woman(my mom) taught me to look both ways before crossing the street and watch out for cars. Guess that common sense lesson isn’t being taught anymore! Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
