The Cal State East Bay Concord Ohlone Conservancy will conduct a cultural burn on Sunday, June 28, at 4700 Ygnacio Valley Road in Concord. Smoke will be visible in the area between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. During that time, residents who see smoke within the designated burn area are asked not to call 911, as fire crews will be on site and actively managing the operation. However, if you see smoke or fire outside the planned burn area, or notice anything that appears unusual or unsafe, call 911 immediately.
